If I unlock the skills I want at gtob, will I get to use them after I get an sin tome?

You unlock the skills with Balthazar faction which allows you to use a tome to unlock that skill on your PvE character. Skills are available for use immediately after purchase from the priest of Balthazar on PvP characters and heroes.

If you just want to use the skills on heroes, unlocking them is enough by the way.

Skills unlocked from anywhere(GoTB, skill trainers, skill packs, ect) will be instantly available to any of your PvP characters(and your Heroes). Your PvE characters will, however still need to buy/learn them from skill trainers or with a tome.

And a sin tome is only good for a PvE character learning a sin skill that you have unlocked on the account.

ok..so let me get this straight. If I play for PvE on my sin and I want a certain skill unlocked. I can go to gtob andunlock it from there. Then buy a sin tome, learn the skill and be able to use the skill that I just unlocked for PvE?

Your pvp char can use it straight away after its unlocked. A pve char will need to use a tome to learn the skill after its unlocked.

I still thought it a bit messy, but you're correct.

Unlock = can use the skill by any heroes and PvP characters on your account.

Learn = buy a skill from a skill trainer, by a quest reward or by the use of a tome, you'll now be able to use the skill on that PvE character.

If you unlock a skill, you can buy it from any skilltrainer or use a tome to learn it. If you havn't a skill unlocked, you can only get it from certain skilltrainers (or as quest rewards).

When it comes to elite skills, there are just 2 ways, unlock it and then use an elite tome. Or use SoC on the right boss.

Do you guys know how the PVP unlock kit works? I've bought only this cause I'm exclusively interested in PVP. When I go to a Balthazar priest I can unlock only heroes for those Balthazar points. Skills and items I need to spend some of the 20 points that come with the PVP kit.

When I'll spent all the free unlock points will I be able to unlock skills and items with PVP only?
