Guild Wars sucks...

I have a friend(ish) who lives in his basement, has leprosy (jk), and plays non-populated blizzlike private servers, aswell as D&D 24/7. (DND is fun, but he needs a social life) basically he has issues and will spaz at times. I told him about gw and he screamed "YOU MEAN THAT GAME WHERE EVERY AREA YOU LEAVE BLOWS UP!" (I assume he never saw more than someone leaving pre, then looked at the map and saw ascalon scorched.)

aion doesnt full release till sept 22. watch gws and its lack of PR and dev action die a screaming death then! people are still killin time in gws till then so enjoy the numbers while u can.

I've heard someone say GW sucks because the enemies don't move faster than you in NM.

So basically, the people that you have heard say GW sucks, all seem to be WoW players.

A common one (yes from wow players) WoW Pvp is far superior, guildwars is a pve game.

A couple people from my RoM guild were saying that because the level cap is 20, the game has less explorability than Super Mario 64.

Another one of them said that "Hundreds of thousands, even millions" (Yes, that's what he said) of people leave GW because of the instanced world.

And one, in all seriousness, has said that it's bad because the servers are never down for maintenance.

And yet another has said that it's bad because you rarely see gold advertisers.

GOD NO I CANT STAND WoW GRAPHICS IT LOOKS LIKE ITS BEEN COLORED BY MY 4 YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I MUCH MORE PREFER GW GRAPHICS AS THEY LOOK MORE REALISTIC THEN THE CRAP YOU SEE IN WoW.

i for one enjoy the instanced world and i'm certain that i'm not the only one out there who doesnt mind being able to go out and kill shit and not have to compete for getting the last hit in on the bladed aatxe.

3rd point that friend is an idiot cuz i've been playing this game long enough to be here while they shut the servers down for a period of a few hours for maintenance.

omfg rarely see gold advertisers? so does your friend make a habbit of breaking eula's? further more if he wants to see more gold advertisers tell him to go to gtob aed1, there is almost always one there if not there go to d2.

i'd leave that guild it sounds like they are a bunch of idiots.

Haha yeah i know exactly what you mean ,someone had posted a link to the trailer for the new update that WoW are getting with a dragon in it on GWG2 and after watching it i had to double check that it was actually WoW , i never realised that the graphics were that bad

Only the first two were in my guild, the instanced world and super mario one. The gold seller I didn't really know, was just someone in the zone I was in. Server maintenance guy, idr what he was actually.


Also, yeah, I was thinking about that when I was doing a quest the other day, how I enjoy instanced world. In RoM, I was doing a quest, and there was this level 50 killing all the level 12 enemies for one reason or another, so there were none there for me to kill.

I...wait...what?

A couple of my friends said that they can't get what's appealing about a game with instances and a low level cap. Surprise surprise, though, they're WoW addicts.

Seriously, though, I cannot count how many times we've been babbling about GW and WoW at work and had the following conversation: "I don't get it. You level up so quickly. What do you do after that?" "Play the actual game." "...but, you're already max level!" "Yeah, and that's the point. It has an actual plot to play through." "But if you're already max level early on, how do you get better than others?"

Usually at that point I facepalm and give up. The concept of putting together a skill bar that is effective goes over their heads

QFT When gw gets a bit tiresome I take a break in WoW (not payed, I found a good private server) This lasts for around a week. I will usually go into global chat and rouse the addicts, fanboys and the lot for my own lolz. First I say "The Game" to make sure there are no 4chan-tards. Then I say this is RED ENGINE GO I'm going back to guild wars, they then throw the stupidest arguments, or a smart one will do as said in the quote, but its too advanced beyond the realm of hit noob with 1337 hammer teh lulz.

Afraid so. He also likes to complain that gear doesn't matter so much as it does in WoW.
