This is just cross-promotional. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal and you can imagine that when Guild Wars 2 gets released maybe Aion will also feature something cross-promotional.

You know people are going to be spamming that in cities, and I won't be surprised if it makes things super laggy. And it makes ZERO sense lore-wise.

This ticks me off as well. Had I known about this emote, I would have held off until I could get it in stores. This is something that should have been announced BEFORE you could buy Aion online so people could have a choice.

I do wonder about that.
Considering that GW has no fees and AION does, advertising AION in GW makes sense since it might convince people to make the step from GW to AION. Free to pay to play.
But AION to GW2? To advertise a F2P game (that is supposedly in DIRECT competition with it!) in a P2P game?
That would be ... "interesting".

God I hate promotions like this with a passion. It's like the Batman game and special Joker levels on the PS3. Just makes me want to punch some marketing people.
