Protective Bond/Essense Bond

I was bored today, and while goofing around, I had a (not so great) idea. I thought that I could have 3 monk heroes, each with 14 protection prayers, using Protective Bond and Essence Bond on me. Protective Bond, at 14 protection prayers, drains 3 energy per hit. Since they are all maintaining it, they each should lose 1 energy each time I am hit. I thought I would be able to counter that by having each of them maintain Essence Bond on me, which would give them 1 energy each time I get hit, balancing it out. I tried going into Tombs, just for fun, and I was surprised that they still lost energy whenever I was hit by an attack. I was taking damage, so Essence Bond should have been triggered. My question is, when multiple people are maintaining Essence Bond, is the energy gain divided amongst them?
Example - 2 people are maintaining Essence Bond... would each person only gain 1 energy every 2 hits?

No. Each caster gains energy when their target takes damage. If damage is reduced to zero, however, there is no energy gain with Essence Bond. I haven't bothered with Protective Bond, so I don't have an answer to make it work in this case.

That is false. Only one effect applies to the target, but multiple casters may each receive the benefit from the same skill on one target.

No, whoever cast Essence bond on you will gain 1 energy every time you are hit except when you are taking Zero damage.

In theory, yes, but remember essence bond you must be taking physical/elemental damage.

A lot of damage in the tome is from chaos/dark damage, which does NOT trigger E-bond.

You also must be taking 0<

I hate to say it, but your idea is not so new. Assasins use it to rush atfh.

Actually ^^^ No, Protective Bond energy loss IS divided if all are casted on the same entity.

So three copies of 3 energy loss per hit would equal 1 energy lost per hit.

If the requirements of essence bond are being filled, the energy loss balances out.
