I often hear people calling others their "mom" in groups.
Am I crazy, this is slang, or are these people actually related?
Ex. 2 people were talking in a party, composed of alliance members, (note: we are very close any know each other well), and one called the other their mom. I know for a fact they aren't related at all.
Anyways, what's the term mean?

Actually our guild jokingly refers to our guild leader as 'mom'. We switched to Luxon and within a few days we had regained all of the faction we lost in the switch and then some. In Teamspeak our leader was acting very happy and proud of us, and one of our zanier members said "Aww.. She's so proud of her kids."
It bothered her a bit so now when we want to tease her we call her mom.
Might not be the same thing, but it might be something similar...?

Also, if it they just said "your mum(mom whatever)" it's usually just a shortened version of flipping whatever the previous person has said and use it to insult their mother. just checking that this isn't the case.
