So I just wanted to hear thoughts and opinions on having multiple characters. For about two years I only had my necro and my dervish. But now I have a necro, dervish, monk, ele, and sin (also a mesmer in the future)
I just find it daunting to try and play so many characters @_@ So i was just wondering how many characters you have and how you spend time playing them.
Thanks ^_^

I have a Rit, Para, Monk, Mesmer (pvp), Derv, War, Necro, and Sin.
I really only play my Ritualist and Paragon, with my Rit taking up 90% of the time. My mesmer is only there to help me unlock skills with faction or get zcoins on an easy pvp quest. The others are there mostly out of curiosity about the class or when I get bored with my primaries.
I do plan on getting all of them to level 20 (the necro and monk are under 10) so I can use them to replay zquest but right now I want to develop my Rit.

I have 8 chars, 1 mule, 1 pvp toon, so 7 PvE total.
ele, sin, mesmer, monk, war, derv, and necro.
It's tough to get them all through PvE. I made my ele when I started, and didn't make so many other until I finished Factions (1st campaign), so yes, it is tough to keep so many. I suggest making ones that are fun, have good farming/money making potential, are useful, and have good armor (if you are picky about that). Some people just have 2-4 toons, finish everything with them, and use the rest as pvp or mules.

I have one character of every profession (except two rangers and two sins, one being a storage mule and the other a A/R so I can actually enjoy the class) just because I have the slots. I like playing with all professions and experimenting with them, but my main is still my ranger.
Granted some aren't nearly as far as others but that will give me something to do if I'm ever uber bored. I also still have an empty character slot for a PVP character if I decide to make one and not delete it.

Five characters for me:
War - Made second, played most.
Ele - Made first, played third most.
Monk - Made third, played least.
Rit - Made fourth, played second most
Ranger - Made last (haven't done much as I only made her two months ago).
Since acheiving pretty much everything I wanted to on my War, I've played my secondary characters a lot more. I tend to play one at a time rather than jumping around each day. Playing my Rit atm because of the spirit buffs.

Let's see...I have a Dervish, Assassin, Ritualist, Mesmer, Ranger, Monk, and a Warrior, and then my sister has an Elementalist that she plays on my account.
Honestly, I really don't play through everything with all of them. My Dervish is going to be the one that for certain completes everything. The others I just play as my whims dictate; besides my Derv, only the Assassin, Rit, and Mesmer are even fully leveled up.
Eventually they'll all do everything, but it's not likely to be anytime soon.

War- Main, does everything, FoW-90% of play time
Ranger- Being deleted for Rit as soon as he turns 2 in a week or so
Mesmer- New and being played quite a bit atm.
Monk- Never play, plan to do some stuff on soon
Necro- Second Main, beaten 2 campains
Paragon- Armor storage, deletable if I ever really need a PvP again.
Ele- Farmer mostly, not played much atm, plan to do more
Sin- Farmer, not played much, not going anywhere.

I just love the option to have multiple chars - thanx low level cap.
For me having multiple chars is what keeps the game fresh and makes want to play GW more and more each passing day. BTW...I have 8 PVE chars, many finished all campaigns and are with good weaps and armor. My favourite class? none, but I have no monk and no rit.
GW its the only game that you can do that...all others you have to stick to only one char and grind it to exhaustion if you have any hope of reaching hi-level content.
Removing low level cap is what im most afraid of GW2.

I have each of one prof in pve, plus 2 pvp chars.
I usually just work on one char at a time. When I get bored of one, I start another so I won't bore myself to death. All of my chars have beat at least one campaign & have a set of elite armor, besides necro. I just make it a goal to get as far with a char as possible.
Ele = Main
Monk, Ranger, Mesmer = Chars I pvp with
Derv = Armor hoar
Sin, Rit, War, Necro = They are kinda just there
<3 The low level cap too, so that I dont spend weeks leveling chars.

I have all the campaigns and EOTN and 8 characters, all level 20 but all still with lots of stuff to do:
- Ranger - My main character, he's beaten Prophecies and is working on Factions after a brief visit to EOTN.
- Elementalist - She's a Nightfall character but I'm taking her through Prophecies first to get her some extra skills.
- Mesmer - She also has beaten Prophecies but I haven't done much else with her lately.
- Assassin - He's beaten Factions and I'll likely take him through Prophecies next.
- Dervish - Just beat Nightfall with her, so now I plan to use her for wurm farming for a while.
- Monk - He's a smiter working on Prophecies, currently chilling at Droks.
- Warrior - She's one of my newer characters, also from Prophecies and hanging out in LA atm.
- Necromancer - My second Nightfall character, he's a curses specialist who may go through Factions first.

I am actually one of those with character ADD. I will never achieve anything substantial with any character but I am ok with that. Currently I have 20 characters:
One of these days I will finish taking everyone through every campaign. THEN I will pick a primary class. To this day they are all my favorites.
- 8 Level 20 have been through every campaign (2mo,2Wa,1R,1E,1N,1Me).
- 4 Level 20 Level 1 survivors (never tried for Legendary)(1P,1R,1E,1Me,1D).
- 3 Mules (1N,1D,1P)
- 5 Level 20 Factions/Nightfall/EotN characters (allergic to Prophecies)(2A,1D,2Rt).
