animated face in the ice

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas? I was doing some searches but could not find anything. This face is animated and it moves up and down. It is in the middle of the first level of the dungeon ravens point.

It was found within the first few weeks after EotN's release on the GWO Lore Forum, but no substantial conclusions were made regarding it. Considering its appearance, most suspected it was an artifact from Utopia that was placed there.

Yea, it is in several dungeons. I couldn't figure out what it was. I think it may be one of those "Cool, look what I made" moments in ANet and they just wanted to put it in the game some place.

It wants your braaaaains. Yeh I noticed it, kind of freaked me out.

Yeah, I remember seeing that. Made me go "oh neat, I wonder what the story behind that is." Sadly, we'll probably never know.

My interpretation, going deep into lore here. It is a spirit of a norn hunter, who embodied the raven in every way, and was thus immortalized in the ice of Raven's Point.

The origin is unknown, and no hints were given by Anet.

It's probably just some pointless decoration or inside joke like mentioned above.

Anet makes things to add in during their free time, many quests are like this. Those faces are among such things.
