Hey everyone,
After having tried to predict what today's next Zaishen Combat Quest was, I found out that the daily quest rotation is now fully predictable as it has seemed to restart.
Here are the details of my research. I used this page as my source of raw data:
http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Zais...hen_Challenges
What I did was counting how often each quest has been offered since the start, starting at day one, April 23rd 2009. I did this simply in excel with a basic spreadsheet and I just added each quest's appearance to it's respective total. I was expecting to see Hero Battles ending up with way more appearances up to now. But as I went on, and ended up at May 24th 2009, I noticed all quests had been available four times exactly.
When I looked at the quests in the last week of May and upto now have been following the exact same order as when it started at April 23rd: First GvG, then AB, TA, JQ, HA, HB, and so on. The quest order from April 23rd to May 2nd now exactly matches the quest order from May 25th to today, June 3rd.
As a result, I think that it's safe to say that the Zaishen Combat Quests are programmed around a monthly rotation, that is maybe off by a day or two. This could change of course in the future if ArenaNET decides to change it's programming. Until then, I think we can all predict what the next Zaishen Combat Quests are going to be on a daily basis.
If my theory is correct, tomorrow's Zaishen Combat Quest is going to be Guild Versus Guild.

The Zaishen Combat Quest rotation chain has looped and is now fully predictable daily

People on the Wiki already came to the same conclusion, with the 1-2 days off each month.

Still good job though, wouldn't occur to me to look for any predictability

Too bad, was hoping i'd be the first to notice
Oh well, I guess someone beat me by 4 days.
Either way, it might still be a good idea to keep this topic open for now just to get the word out, as it seems the official Wiki hasn't really changed their atricle yet as well.
I'll mod my post a bit to show that it wasn't actually me who discovered this.

Yes, I knew it was going to loop, back in April and started a thread about it:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10369854
I also suggested exploiting this to get 2 quests of the same type for double reward by completing it only once. That exploit also worked for awhile until ANet realized it later and fixed it.

Previously, I could have 2 copies of the SAME ZaiShen PvP quests in my quest log at the same time, so I only needed to complete the quest once and get 2 times the reward.
Interesting thoughts about the double quest bug.
Personally though, I don't really see the usefulness of it though, except if you really don't want to put much effort into it :P
The problem you get with three of the same quests in your log, is that you will not be able to do any of the other daily pvp quests. This means unnessecary waiting time, which in the end costs you more potential rewards. Besides, you would probably want to get the most rewards out of the pvp game mode you play the most, and therefore you will probably just repeat those quests on the day they are on, which is of course prevented if you use this double quest thing.
In the end, I can only see it being useful if you don't grind rewards from the pvp quests on a daily basis and are willing to clog up your log with your one or two favorite pvp gamemode quests, and are also planning to spend as little time as possible actually playing the rounds for them.
Other than that, it sounds like a good idea yeah to get a calendar going on both wiki's that shows the quests on each coming day, so guilds and players can plan their activities around them. I have no experience on programming or anything, but am of course willing to help, though i'm sure everyone can now figure our the quest chain.

You know what would be ironic - anet reading this thread and secretly changing the combat quests just to annoy everyone.Imagine the grief by ppl sayin the predictions wrong.
Luckily i hope this dont happen - well done on the work .
Btw i wonder if ppl are still trying to predict nicholas still .

In the future when HA or TA come again, you take it, complete it and get double reward. Anyway, this bug is now plugged as you are not able to have more than 1 of the same zaishen pvp quest in your quest log now but for a time, we were able to, when the pvp quests first looped.

However, this can't be done as far as I'm aware.

On that same character. I would just make a PvP char for collecting RA quests, one for HA quests....and so on. And as soon as one of them got all three of the same, I would play with that character and gets a huge bonus. After that that character would be put on hold again, waiting for the same three quests to pile up again.

Anyways, GvG Quest is up indeed now. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say we've figured out the rotation. The question now is though, when they'll change it. Since the rotation lasts pretty much exactly a month, I'm not surprised if they'll start to insert a new random rotation every month during their skill and mAT reward points updates. However, sine this hasn't been done yet in last month's update, we could expect anything.
I'm pretty sure though that they won't change the rotation outside the monthly or quarterly updates.
