What is the best class/build to farm obby shards?
i have a war that i am setting up with a melandrus axe build for the beach i was just wondering if there was something better.

A/E is the easiest build to use(as long as you don't have the attention of a five yr old like me, you shouldn't die much 
)
All you have to worry about with a perma sin is just casting SF again, you can clear the whole beach+caves.... probably more.

Warrior used to be really easy to farm the shards but since they killed the armor stacking skills its not as efficient. That W/R and W/Mo build don't look to bad but with a sin you can grab several mobs at a time as opposed to having to pull one each time.

First off I believe this thread breaks a few forum rules. (posts about "what is the best...." and it's in the wrong section either way) Secondly, in response to the post above, there's nothing wrong with the warrior build for the beach.

Optional can be Feel no Pain if you want a degen counter, Asuran Scan, or anything really. Knight's insignia, Superior Absorption, -2(stance), +30(or +45 in stance) shield. Melandru's Resilience means no IAS, so PvX fails.
Dark Escape will last more than long enough to break aggro for a perma, and a cupcake will easily do the job as well. You might need to wait until the 2 warrior, 1 monk group is closer before you hit Dark Escape to break free of all the foes.

this build can also take on 3 skales at once [spam heal on recharge, dont worry about grenths balance, should always be around 200-300hp by spamming lions]
should be able to complete beach and cave in 18-22 minutes depends how good you are a balling the spiders at entrance(not including skales)

. 600/smite. Yesterday i was farming. Got 3 shards but didn't finish the run (smiter died $#/&"!/$$%!"%$#%"!$#%!). I'm using normal 600 build with Ancestor's Visage (Illusion Magic=9) to kill Shadow Monks. It's also good farm cuz you get Dark Remains (=dust) and Shadow Shields and Canes (=Iron).

FNP reduces the poison degen to -1, and the 8 health per attack from Vigorous more than makes up for it. Flail was the best thing to ever happen for Warrior farming, please do not leave it at home.
