Make it 5 and people will want it to be 7.

It would seem that the people who don't endorse don't really have a argument against the people who do. All they have said is that they "feel" where the supporters talk about specific real world reasons as to why it should happen. I don't know about anyone else, but between work, wife, 2 kids, baths, dinner, book readings, and such, I barely have enough time to grab the quests during the week much less play out an hour long mission. By letting me store 5 missions (the boss one's can be passed imo) I can stay up late on Friday (cuz i get up at 4 during the weekdays) and knock out one or two, get up early on Saturday (6am) , knock out another 1 or 2, stay up late on Saturday, knock out another 1 or 2, and do the same on Sunday morning. It makes sense for those players that have other.........priorities during the week. I can't think of any real reason as to why someone would want more, but I think 5 is a good balance. If you can't play at least one day out of the week, then maybe GW isn't for you!
Well, yeah, obviously. Give them an inch, they'll want a mile. It's like that for every update that gives us more of something we want. But if everyone followed that logic, we wouldn't have got more faction for AB/JQ/FA. We wouldn't have gotten faction rewards from vanquishing. We wouldn't have gotten reputation books. So yes, people will always want more than they get, but that doesn't mean they aren't happy with what they do get.
If people were doing the quests they saved.. they wouldn't need more than three. The whole point was to bring people together and letting people horde quests up will make the quest areas less focused.

Some people can do the quests the day they come out. Some people can sometimes do the quests the day they come out. Some people have enough time to get on for 30 minutes a day on weekdays, and they don't want to spend that time doing a mission or a bounty.

You two need to think beyond the confines of your personal lives.
Not everybody can put enough time in during weekdays to finish these challenges as they get them.
The idea of increasing the cap from 3 to 5 allows people to accumulate the quests over the course of the week and finish them on the weekend.
As I said before, for mostly every update given, we'll receive an inch and want a mile. But that doesn't mean an update shouldn't happen. If everyone followed that logic, we wouldn't have many things that we have today.

And then people will start to complain about how they can't finish all five (ten or fifteen) quests over the weekend and worry about missing the next week's quests too.

So.. we should update it because it's bound to happen. Atleast the storage updates had meaning behind compressing materials and room for all the new items coming out.
|
Add new items and people will demand more.
Eventually people will demand more storage place.
You're arguing for and against giving into what people are asking for and you make a distinction between increasing the quest cap and adding new items and storage space. A tad biased, are we?
No, we should update it because nothing negative comes out of it, and it pleases the masses. If pleasing the masses is a bad thing, ANet fails, hard.

They've been unpleasing the masses (directly, not indirectly like this) with updates for yeeeears.
I don't think they should increase the cap, but I don't think they shouldn't. I wonder if they would actually consider the fact that the areas would become less focused, or just increase it. Probably won't make a difference either way. |

I would love to give my most sincere apologies for giving a most horrid comment about updates not being adequate enough. I'm sure not ONE update has pissed off the masses, EVER.
It's not like people are hurting from only being able to hold 3 zquests at once, and I'm sure the people that will quit over it are the same people that will quit over any minuscule "problem".

True, it's not hurting people but it's still something that people would like to see happen, that's the purpose of this thread. Just because you don't see it an as issue doesn't mean everybody is in the same position as you.
