Only One Profession?!

It's possible, and most of the time you'll just be using warrior skills anyway - but it strips you from the ability to use different weapons or bring utility. It won't go in any sort of organized PvP though, and in PvE (and PvP for that matter) people will regard you as a bad player if you do not have a secondary.
Why do you even want to do that?
Why do you even want to do that?
I remember feeling the same way when I made my first character, which was a Warrior oddly enough. You can definitely do it, but it doesn't make much sense in terms of the game. Just because you have a secondary, doesn't mean you need to use any of the skills for your secondary or allocate any skill points to that profession, if that's what you're worried about. Also, it doesn't detract from your main at all, because you can move freely between all the secondaries. It's a very flexible system.

You can do it if you make a nightfall character then take a ferry to the docks and to KC and LA before getting a secondary. You can use that character for all of prophecies, Factions and EotN but will not be able to play anything past starter isle in Nightfall. You will also not be able to use any of the lightbringer or sunspear skills except for sunspear rebirth.
You will however be able to put any of the kurzik/luxon skills on your bar up to three at one time (the limit for PvE only skills). So with a single prof character you can actually use skills from 4 different professions at once. Just be careful not to begin the quest secondary training in kamadan because as soon as you learn any skill from anything other than your primary profession you will lose access to all the other kurzick/luxon skills.
Not sure if any workable build could be made from that but it's fun to play around with.

You can do it, but it will need to be a Factions or Nightfall created character. You will have to play the created campaign up til it tells you to choose a Secondary. From that point you can no longer play that campaign, and need to get a "ferry" from that campaign to another.

Huh. I didn't know you could do that in NF.
It's sure impossible in the other two, though, so you'd have to do it there. Proph won't let you out of the tutorial without it, IIRC, and in Factions you can't even get to the second half of the starter island without one.
Just because you have one doesn't mean you need one, though, as has been said. My derv is /E but ever since giving up on Sliver Armor (bloody short duration...) she hasn't had a single ele skill on her bar.

for the most part alot of the warrior builds I play only involve warrior skills so having no secondary wouldn't hinder you too much. But getting your warrior through Factions and NF to get better warrior skills is imperative.
usually for pvp I use secondary skills, but for pve i just use war skills

Just clarifying this point: Definately no.
So basically going straight War is fine, though not using a secondary will mean you won't be able to pick up a skill here and there to polish off your build. Also, you'll miss out on some utility.

If the reusable rez isn't required utility skills such as damage buffs are taken. |
Thanks to everyone for being cool and not putting me thru the noob spanking machine.
Well I bought Nightfall, and remade & renamed my toon - Tongo The Barbarian. (Yeah Im sure you all are just writing that bit down for future use)
I think Ill go W/R anyway. Straight warrior is limited and really dont see a way around it. Hope to see you all.
