Predicting Gift of the Traveler Collectables

so far... since the introduction of the post seraring Traveler, the collectables haven't been simple "garden variety stuff" (cept may B the Linen). So here's a few predictions for upcomming collectables-----

Plague Remedies (from the Naga Pelt Collectors in Cantha)
Refined Jellies (from the Blob Of Ooze collector in Ooze Pit)
Pahnai Salad (from the Iboga Petal Collector)
Drake Kabob (from Drake Flesh Collector)
Icy Humps (like from the Snow Ettins in Griffons Mouth)
Enslavement Stones (from Sorrows Furnace Summit Dwarves)

it can be anything and everything...going by trends isn't very reliable because it's not a trend thing. I do expect enslavement stones to be one, however. Anything else we'll just have to wait and see.

I will have to predict a Herring though, or hardened moa eggs, as they're stackable and they've been neglected lately.

Its too early to predict. You need a bigger sample size (in other words, if the next 10 things happen to be either craftable items or repeatable quest rewards, you can maybe guess that the one after that will be)

Inscribed Shards would be my guess..

I just remember how hard it was to get them when I did that quest..

Any others I got after that I gave away to people trying to buy them!

Could be DoA and a gemstone of sometype for all we know..Personally id love that, sell gems at double perhaps triple the price XD.

But seriously, I doubt it will be any crap from lower levels like Pahnai Salad or
Drake Kabob. It will be easy to farm if true though.

And no, I don't count Red Iris Flowers, as they are available in GWEN, and most characters had stashes of those from pre anyway. Nice opening, too bad I missed that one...

Well, its gotta be something odd. If its a quest item, it has to be from a repeatable quest.

I hope he asks sometime for Althea's Ashes Urns ^^. I know it won't happen, not repeatable during 'standard' play.

If Nicholas ever did collect ecto they should have better drops for that week. Lets say 3 ecto per gift..and you get 10 bottle rockets NO THANKS. Even the Vamp FDS and IDS from him are barley worth 3 ecto.

But yea seems to get a trend of beginning areas so my guess would be around that area too.

I doubt the chances of predictions ever being right for this. GL though.

Well, since he's already asked for Linen I'd say there are at least SOME other rare mats he'll ask for (maybe something similar to Linen...Damask? Vellum?).

As for the items, just think of any collector stuff that nobody would normally go out of there way to craft and there ya go. xD First post has most I can think of.

Predicting seems somewhat pointless when you can't even see a trend in the first place. It's gonna be some weeks, or even months before we could even hope to be able to accurately tell where Nicholas is going to be next, unless he some time practically gives it away the week beforehand.

It seems to be totally random, but if there is a pattern, which I doubt, we'll need many more samples.

I'm personally hoping for blobs of ooze, because I never threw one away, and the only way to really farm them is 600/smiting Ooze Pit, which takes long enough just to get there to make it inefficient
