Oh, some more things.

They're probably never going to make any major mechanic changes, but if they did I'd want them to fix the minion system (just give you a little tab like the party tab, with all your minions listed), so that Heroes don't have the advantage over us with their miraculous ability to target the right minion every time.

In terms of minor stuff they could do:
Maybe add some more reskinned armor and let you switch between reskins of a certain armor design?
Ability to add Unique weapons to HoM, as well as maybe some other weapons from sets (Asuran, Norn, etc.).
Weapon upgrade trader! Seriously, at least for me it's insanely hard trying to find the weapon upgrade/inscription I need at the right time. I invariably end up merching one right before I get a weapon I really should have put it on.
Add another summer holiday. Or maybe just one of those mini weekend events like Easter/Thanksgiving/etc. I was going to say some kind of fireworks weekend but that wouldn't be fair to those of us as aren't American . Maybe some kind of Olympics? Now that would be awesome, though it might overlap a little with player-run events.

If they were to add just one additional God realm then the August update would be worth it in my opinion. So long as it was as fun as the Fissure of Woe or The Underworld.

Another Idea:
Enhanced Guild Options: Honestly, Guild Wars should be able to give players the ability to afford their own hierarchy of players. We should have more than Leader/Officer/Member structures. Allow leaders to assign permissions to various CUSTOMIZED positions. Just a thought.

I would personally like to thank the LIVE team for adding the ability to change the appearance, name, and sex of characters. Even if it is for a fee, at least you have the option available to cease the recurrence of the damn ideas in threads like these. That right there, made that addition of the game worth it to me, even though it will go completely unused on my part.

How about adding the Menagerie to the map travel? And also add the new equipment bags to the F9 key.

Menagerie's already map-travel-able (same island as HA, IIRC). Or rather, the outpost is. It won't kill you to walk through the portal...

Hm... I can think of many things...

- One time payment method for the features that must be paid per use now.
- Xunlai Marketplace being reality.
- Turn the Titan quests into Prophecies elite area, with a prestige weapon set you can add to the HoM and all.
- Challenge Missions for Prophecies.
- Turn the Tombs into Prophecies challenge, with end-chest and all.
- Weapon upgrade traders
- Adventurer title for making campaign quests.
- The remaining realms of the gods.
- Item unlocking (similar to the Hat unlocking) for items that you usually get just once and never need to get again, like armor, miniatures, everlasting tonics, etc...
- Unique weapons for all Prophecies monsters too.
- Retroactivity (New things for new professions in old campaigns) such as weapon drops, armor and skills.
- Inscriptions worldwide.
- Turn Brawling, Norn Tournamient and Polmock into Festival mini-games. Like Dragon arena exist to lear dodging and rollerbeetle racing to learn WADS movement, Brawling ould be to learn skill comboing, polymock to learn interruption and the Norn tournament... No, I think I'll leave out norn tournament, XD.

Hm... I think I made longer list somewhere...

April's skill balance.
Just spend the next 3 months on massively rebalancing the game (Skills AND classes! Trash SR! Figure out if spirits should even be in the game - and if they should be in the state that they are now, completely rework Spawning! A PvE-only attribute, where investing into it improves PvE skills - that way builds get better by following the basic game rules rather then massive amounts of grind! Remove the armour cap from PvE and kill off SY! SF!).

And after that is done - completely rebalance the environment in PvE for the new WORKING ideas. Which means better team compositions and better monster builds.
And start by disabling monster skills. Just add two hybrid monks to that group instead of cheap ass ideas.
And then spend each month adjusting the builds of the foes whose builds got trashed due to the last month's balance!

This. I would like to have no updates until August at all, and then BIG update that fix GW. Ohwait, that won't happen so:

1. Fix HB
2. Small improvements in Report system
3. ???
4. profit! (9,99)

Lots of good ideas in this thread, but here's something I haven't seen mentioned. An in-game armor preview, similar to the dye preview screen or maybe the new stylist screen. So you can see what those expensive armor pieces will look like on you in-game (which is a little different from just looking at pics on the wiki) before you fork over 1-5k or more for the piece or however much it is. Possibly add color options to the preview so you can see how the different colors look on the armor, so you won't end up spending lots of money on an armor set that you thought you wanted only to find it doesn't look as good on your character as you thought.

I'd still like to see:

- Alliance Roster, allowing you to see members and officers within alliance and not just your own guild.

- Search filter for Party Search.. say you only looking for tomes.. just type "tome" in the filter and remove everything else. While at it, increase the maximum length of party search text.

Exactly my thoughts. I thought I read Mike O'brien's recent interview suggesting something slightly along those lines, but I can't find it anymore :/.

Anyway, at one point, we'll have to see some newborns ;P. I don't think it's going to be as awesome as SoF, but it may well surprise us, as this update did. I can clearly see a huge potential (and profit for Anet) in a half-chapter (not half-baked chapter ;P ) that will get us closer to the future.

Oh and also getting PvE and PvP another step closer.

Total speculation on my part of course!

i didn't think they outdid themselves at all. they could of at least slowly introduced payed content, instead of all at once. not only that but its not even really new content, just ways of arena trying to keep people playing and not only playing but paying money to keep playing without adding any real content. if this is a preview of guild wars 2 i'm not sure i want a part of that. and i have been playing guild wars since the very first beta ever.

A PvP-oriented update would be nice, and probably would extend the longevity of the game a bit longer with less effort than making an entirely new area just to store pets.
Sealed Deck, Draft Mode would be nice
PvP modes in which only skills from certain campaigns are allowed (everybody seemed to love vanilla GW)
A PvP mode in which the 30 or so most commonly used skills are banned. They do say they keep track of skill usage, so this would be pretty simple, and it would allow people to experiment with the hundreds of other skills that never see play.

Auction house. That'd definitely be something to work on...

Expanding Party Search character limit from 32 characters as it is currently to 120 as normal messages can display. Then, it would be super useful...

Actually fixing the female Nec FoW (while pantless) texture which would take maybe 1 minute tops.

Beyond that? I dunno. Don't care.

Maybe move the game up to MA and add nudity? lol... Nahhh, there's AoC for that.

I like the ideas in this thread. Some new skins for the z-chest and some new armor would be nice too.

New MISSIONS in old areas. Factions gave us the explorable area after the mission; NF and EotN allowed us to explore mission areas before experiencing the storyline missions.
I'd like to see "post-storyline" missions which begin linking our characters to the lore that GWEN introduces and GW2 develops... More work along the northern coast of Kryta, and the southern edges of old ascalon. How nice would it be to see the fortress of Ebonhawke under construction?

Linsey has pointed out before the immense amount of work involved in making a new area from scratch, which I why I don't hold a lot of hope for many new areas. But EotN really suggested what can get done in Explorables and missions...playing defense, like in the Golem Kiln "mission," or the solo mission like Tihark Orchard.

But if the creators use zones that are already created, then it's a (marginally smaller?) matter of altering spawns and mobs, adding the mission objectives... I can't claim that this is simple, but it seems to fit the philosophy behind the zaishen quests: put people in little-used areas.

So, missions to escort an ascalonian patrol from Ranik to somewhere south of there? Defending an archaological dig in Kryta? Cleaning out the Jade Brotherhood in the bazaar and on the docks? A mission in Arbor Bay to help that Sylvari Tree?

I could imagine a mechanic like the EotN ones...that the missions are sort of organic in the quest line.

Other things I'd like to see:

more Nicholas-and Yakkington-like NPCs, who have you do things, explore areas, out of the normal patterns.

A couple of pretty new weapon skins.

Chests at the end of Sorrow's and Tombs.

New maps in AB?
