Shortcut for unlocking HM in EotN still works?

Can I jump to CTC by joining a DD group, then do AtfH to unlock HM in another account?

Got a second account to farm norn points and cupcakes for my main account (my main char can't kegfarm ) in the upcoming celebrations, and I want to know if I can finish eotn quickly, or if I have to go through it all.

Takes 2 days to go trough it, you'll still make it in time methinks.

Pfft. It'll take me like 2 hours to go through it all, lol. I'll just use my main account to run the new account through.

Just so you know, since your question hasn't actually been answered -

You can get to the Central Transfer Chamber in the way you described. However, High Priest Alkar will not allow your team to enter A Time for Heroes with you in the party. We tried doing this with one of my guildies about a month back and it doesn't work.

Edit: also if I remember right, the completion of Destruction's Depths when you're not ready to do it won't even go into your book.

Sadly after prophecies anet decided to include "lock points" - thats to say you end up doing primaries and then reach a mission and to carry on you have to do the mission.
But also that mission is locked to primaries so its a catch 22 situation.
Bit like nightfall and desolation - you can run there but now you cannot enter the queen wurm primary unless you have the correct primary done - even joining a party who have access wont work as whole team will be denied.

Eotn itself can only take 2 or 3 days depending on how many hrs you play for.

If you want to keg farm, I suggest you create an assassin I recently did this and within 10 hours (heck some folks have reached level 20 in 4 hours) you can be ready-to-keg.

And if you're doing this just to keg - then you definitely want to create an assassin as they are the easiest profession to do kegging with...

Getting to CTC won't help you finish unless you've done the primaries on that character.
Just run through the primaries... it doesnt take long.

I HAVE an assassin on my main account, of course. And I kegfarm with her. But my main character is a ranger, and kegging on a ranger takes too long. So I had the bright idea of making an assassin on a second account, and use that to keg, while my main account ranger leeches norn points. It will also give me a second inventory to fill with goldies

My main reason is the norn points. I don't have the avatar quest on my main char anymore, and I'm too lazy to farm points for the sake of points. But with cupcakes coming up, i'll be spending all my time there, so I'll just use that to farm norn points. I got about 60k points on my sin while kegfarming eggs, and getting that on my main would be great, as I'm REALLY sick of repeating EotN missions.
