Have you ever played an entire campaign str8 through beginning to end? I own all the campaigns and I currently have a A/R and a D/Mo both are in various campaigns meaning they have never completed the base campaign they have come from (why? cause im lazy LOL).

So i made a W/Mo and I currently in Prof (Pre for the winner) and I am going to follow this campaign story line from beginning to end, i was just wondering if people have ever actually completed A whole Campaign WITHOUT going off and activating other campaigns by doing the required Elona, EOTN or Factions missions at the main Port city for what ever campaign.

if you have what was it like?
do you find that if you do p[rof then factions then NF and then EOTN that the story lines all mesh they all follow eachother?

I have because there was no choice.

Storylines are something I don't bother to read much, so each campaign (I don't have EOTN) feels quite separated for me. Some random stuff in mission texts sometimes gives me a clue about shared history or something with certain characters or places.

First time i played Guild Wars i did Prophecies from beginning to end, reading every chat window, every quest log and watching every cutscene. And i did the same when i got the following campaigns.
I think it is an awesome way to discover the game and its lore. Ofcourse, i don't recall 80% of what i saw/read, but i know i had lots of fun knowing how some characters related to another.

Not in a single session, but I did complete proph without going away from the storyline.

That's not what he meant, he said in the OP have you ever done it without going to another camaign not have you done a campaign in one sitting.
But yes alot of people have when proph came out as there wasn't a choice.
I have completed all campaigns straight through though when they first came out.

I did all of them from beginning to end starting with Prop, then Factions then Nightfall then EOTN and I didn't bypass or run through any of the content. I did EVERY quest and didn't CHEAT like so many do just to get to the good stuff. Now I'm rich and famous and GW has become boring. But, at least I got 3 good years out of it for less than $100.

I finished Factions and Nightfall with a character made in the campaign and did them the whole way through on those characters before allowing them to other mainlands. With the way GW works today, though, I don't see myself doing that again.

I unlocked travel to the other campaigns when my first character got to LA in Prophecies so that I could travel to Kamadan for trading, Shing Jea for Dragon Festival, etc. However, I did not do any storyline quests or missions in those campaigns. I continued the Prophecies story until I reached the end, then did the same for Factions, Nightfall, and EotN. Likewise, I didn't do any of the BMP missions until I was far enough in the respective campaign to follow the backstory.

My other characters all did the whole Prophecies storyline, stopping to unlock travel at LA, but aren't following the other storylines as rigorously since I no longer have to worry about story spoilers. Those characters tend to move around doing whichever of the other campaigns I feel like playing that day, or as needed to accomplish certain goals. (For example, my ranger wanted a team of ranger heroes with different varieties of moa, so he had to travel around to recruit the heroes and get their pets.)

So heres my next question, you finish all the story lines (this means every campaign), youvce done EVERY quest (for every campaign) and you have your millions....

what next?

Make a new character and repeat the process?

With all a majority of my 30+ characters yes. I only stop and go to NF or Eotn when I know there won't be any players present for a mission of something, like in the forest area in Proh. There never seems to be anyone there when I'm on.

I first had only proph, so I did that beginning to end, then capped all the elites and mapped 100% and got masters on everything. Then I bought myself factions and did the same, then nf. Then they came out with hard mode, so I had to get leg vanq. Then eotn. lol. Guess I'm a completist like that. Course I don't remember much beyond the general story but at the time I did watch every cutscene.
