Do you have a non mainstream skill you like to use just because you like the skill? Let us know what it is and why and maybe where you like to use it.

For me its [aneurysm] in Fort Aspenwood

The fact you can hit an Elementalist with average spikes of 120-250 range make it fun to use. Some people like high energy levels so it can go up. A spike of 351 is the most I have ever got

On the other hand using it against a warrior you get a 30ish point spike here and there, but still fun as a finisher on any character

And who cares about them getting energy back. They get the energy back anyway when they resurrect in FA.

Warrior - [Dwarven battle stance] - use it a lot on hammer builds that look like this [hammer bash][dwarven stability][dwarven battle stance]....

Ranger - [Keen arrow] in minigun builds, and [ignite arrows] if I my elite is [incendiary arrows]

Monk - [Signet of rejuvenation] - requires smart use and anticipation

Necro - [ulcerous lungs] but there might be others that I constantly swap around and test

Mesmer - hard to say. It's my primary toon and after 13mil. experience I think I played almost every silly build possible. I did use [psychic instability] on heroes, which I think is a largely ignored skill

Elementalist - again, very controversial to say which is a good under-desired skill because most of the time people expect you to use the uberpwnsouce ele builds only. But definitely [magnetic surge] has captured my attention many times.

Assassin - [flashing blades] - hands down; way before it was buffed to do damage

Ritualist - I like [agony], hello yellow rain even if for a short time

Paragon - [Soldier's fury] - way before it had the adrenaline gain buff

Dervish - [vow of strength] was first choice as an elite, before it was killed with that conditional nerf; then I guess I always liked [conviction] as a generally useful skill for all seasons.

Duno how many people use it, or if it's considered a "mainstream" skill, but I almost always bring it.

Awesome you said that skill as it is what I would have said. I've caught a lot of grief from Guildies about that skill but they have no idea how powerful it is. I use the following in FA to kill Ele's, Mezzers and Necros.

[Guilt][Energy Surge][Energy Burn][Power Leak][Power Spike][Optional][Ether Feast][aneurysm]

For the optional slot I either use Spirit Shackles or Power Drain, depending on wether or not the Luxons are bringing in more melee or more caster based characters. Very simple build, very deadly and oddly enough, very durable for a mesmer. I rarely die outside of a double turtle attack or a complete Luxon gangbang. People see that their energy is gone and they normally bolt or instantly die from the 250 damage insta-spike. I <3 Aneurysm. Easily my favorite skill since Burning Arrow was introduced to the game.
