remove the sound at least. and for those turn down sound and move people. i do and have a lot i have done that many a times but i can only move so much in a day. i do have to sell stuff and when i have the sound down i cant hear the whsp. ping. the cute bone doggies dont abuse their sound so why should the yeti's be allowed to spam theirs?

so much QQ, imo. as stated by everyone else, do either:

1) turn sound down
2) change districts; or
3) bear with it and carry on with life

i won't lie-- at the 10 minute mark it starts to become annoying but then i realize just how nice of aNet it was to have multiple districts/volume adjusting features under the f11 panel.

The heart of this problem is that some people have nothing left in this game to do but BE NOTICED it is as much their game as mine or yours or anybodys - just leave them be!

Just make it so only the owner/user hears the sounds.

There is a difference between "being noticed" and "being outright selfish and annoying".

If you want to be noticed, be noticed for doing something good like helping someone out, rather than annoying the hell out of everyone around you!

hate to say it but be annoying by spamming this emote gets you noticed quicker than helping someone out. try giving 100k away to some random person, i guarantee you your deep will go unnoticed.

YES, you can avoid these (really annoying) sounds. Doesn't mean that people should and by that not be able to listen to other sounds.

Your '2.' is utterly retarded because this about when people enter districts (e.g. zoning). They already are switching.

And so are you. This has nothing to do with voice communication and neither with hating something you don't have. If you read properly, he is not asking for a removal of these sounds, but for an option to turn them off.

Having an avatar that is the in-game equivelant of 18 feet tall and 6 feet wide isn't enough to get a person noticed? Kinda hard to miss those guys!

P.S. Any talk about banning (suspending) people because they're goofing around with a yeti is an over reaction. A-Net provided the tonic as is - noises and all. It wouldn't be right to suspend someone for using a feature that was designed and implemented by the very people who do the suspending!

Also, you are not forced to watch bald rits. You ARE forced to hear those sounds. Because if you press your right mouse button and move it a bit, you make those dancing mesmers disappear. You can't turn off sound ONLY FOR TONICS.

That reasoning is bad. I could provide a lot of examples, but I think I'll take most direct/extreme route:
A guy buys a knife. Then uses the said knife to kill a person... should the blame go to the killer or the maker of the knife?

Seriously, that's abusing the feature of the product, plain and simple. You can justify every crime, every exploit... everything by this. If God gave us the ability to kill people, then it wouldn't be right to punish the person for killing, right?
