Remember everyone: NCSoft and Arenanet will never send you an e-mail personally (unless you reported something and they're replying) in which case they'll use grammar and it won't be sent to your junk email box :P.

Posting images with your email address displayed in is a good way to get more mail like that.

That said, You definitely open the message ? But more to the point, I am relatively sure NC Soft can use grammar correctly, So all in all, Fishy to me !

NCsoft is spelled with a small "s". Also, thread name is lower case. Sure as hell it's a scam.

You can open it, just don't reply with your login info or install any crap that might be attached to the email

Actually I'd like to see what the email says, got a couple emails from Valve regarding my steam account deletion or pending ban, and they needed my password to check any 'anomalies' I always laugh at that.

Don't show your email adress in public like that. Also to minimise the chance of brute force hacking attacks, players should setup a complex password. This means at least 8 characters long with normal and capitals, numbers and special signs in it.

Wow. What a scam. NCsoft wouldn't do a thread in lowercase (If they e-mailed you about a report you sent.) like Abedeus said.

If someone really wanted to brute his account they would have done it by now, no one is gunna waste their time bruting a random account.

OT: Open it, screenshot. You're not gunna get a virus from opening an email, and if you do, switch to a different host. Jeez, the stupidy of people these days, which is even sadder because they think they're being smart by being "cautious"

Just before posting the image I thought: "Is there anything in this picture there shouldn't be?". E-mail address is removed now, but tbh, they already know it, so I'm not losing sleep over it.

I think the OP wisely uploaded another pic, as I clearly saw a hotmail account earlier on. So yeah it's relevant as a hotmail account can be used as gw account. Most people are no IT specialists. The info about the complex password is something I have to tell workers on a daily basis as a lot of people have their password written on their forehead sorta speak. Wanne decrease the chance of getting hacked, using a complex password helps.

Actually some of the email's I have been getting recently from PlayNC have been sent to junk mail by thunderbird, marking them as possible scam. But you're right about yours, its a fake email, and not a good idea to open. Also their message subject will end with [Incident: 01234-001234]

If Anet can add things like this then I think support might get lazy enough to forget capital letters.

But I still say it is a scam as, if I remember correctly, Anet and NCsoft doesn't delete accounts, they just perma ban them.

If you are that curious as to what might be in it, get on a old computer or a library computer or something and open it there.

on another note every email i ever gotten from them has always been from PlayNC Support as for the text not being caps or what not it its a replies to them its titled how u had. it i got plenty of emails from them during a account ban incident

The thing is although you edited your new picture's link into the original thread, people who quoted your original message still have the link to the old picture. So it would be wise to delete the old picture from your imageshack account
