Note that to "insiders", the video is a joke. It's supposed to mock over-planning so typical of MMORPG players. So, Leeeroy is supposed to be the "hero".

I honestly don't see any humor in Leeroy Jenkins. Someone tell me what's so funny about that video? All he does is run in and gets the party wiped. Or was that supposed to be the funny part?

I'm guessing theirs more meaning then what is shown on the video so could someone tell me why it's so funny?

The comedy for me is how the team spends like the first 12 minutes outside the dungeon discussing hit percentages, buff order, and tactics... then this dude just screams his own name, charges in, aggros everything in the room and gets his party blowed up!

Without the scream, it's just a funny parody of how people take WoW too seriously, but the "Leeeeeeeroy Jeeeeeenkiiiiiiins" makes it a classic.
