Rarest Skins

Since the start of guild wars quite possibly the rarest weapon in game has been the Crystalline Sword. Why would anet create a skin for a weapon that makes it impossible to farm(due to the fact that you need to win halls to get it) and not offer such a rare weapon to other classes. Discuss and share your ideas of what you think are the rarest skins for other types of weapons

a] Crystallines dropped outside of Halls back when there was only one "Guild Wars."
b] Swords are not Warrior-only weapons.

If you want to be technical, swords are warrior only weapons. However it so happens that someone went hey look lemme slap a +-5e and a 20% enchanting on this and give it to a caster and voila.

But alas its ugly. Rare skin or not. Its not for me.

Caster spear > Caster sword (except for looks sometimes)

One of the rarest weapons I'd say is this beaut right here. Never seen one in game.

i dotn know why people still pay 100k+ xx ectos for voltaics...if there is 6 or 7 for sale in kamadan, its no longer that rare imo.

emerald blade, obby edge, crystaline, eternal blade...all swords =D swords are just the coolest apparently

did eternal swords and emerald edges go out of price or what? there rare than crystalline imho. volts are less rare than they used to be but its still not common exactly.

Tyrian Crystalline Sword that is gold and perfect is much rarer than any eternal or obby edge imo

crystallines always have been, and always will be the rarest weapons in the game, appart from maybe a q7 perfectly modded ecovald shield, dyed the old black .....epic

Rarest (read: most valuable) skins:
Bow; Silverwing Bow, Dryad Bow
Dagger; Storm Daggers?
Wand; Frog Scepter
Staff; Bone Dragon Staff
Focus; Celestial Compass I suppose ._.
Sword; Crystalline, Eternal, Obsidian, Emerald
Axe; None, as all the rare skins drop as inscribable nowadays, but it used to be Dwarven & Serpents
Hammer; Swamp Club
Shield; Echovald
Spear; Voltaic
Scythe; Not really sure, Steelhead? Bone Cage? Clockwork? Demon Tongue?

However if the req is low enough, any skin can be a rare item really...

IMO, the rarest skins are the perfect uninscribable golds in Tyria or Cantha. If you get a rare inscribable like an obby edge or voltaic, you can pretty much sell it no matter what because it can be easily modded. However, getting something like a Req 8 +30hp -5 (20%) magmas is pretty much unheard of, and would net a hell of a lot more cash then a low req perfect rare inscribable.

Crystalines really are not that rare anymore if you are just talking about the skin, you can get purple crystalines very cheap.

The 2 swords that I think are the rarest, mainly because not many people farm them anymore, are the Zodiac and the Cerulean Edge.

A good number of people still do FoW and UW so the number of Obsidian Edges and Eternal blades is going up, slowly but still it is going up.

bow-wise: Silverwing and Dryad Recurves are definately the rarest. Although I got a R9 Dryad from a Normal mode rragars run not long ago. Its my pride and joy.
