Hall of Monument Maxed Titles

There should be titles for having a maxed shrine in the Hall of Monuments. However, the titles either diminshes or is taken off everytime a something new is created in relationj to the title.

For Ex:
My assassin has every elite armor, but one. If I decide to get it (and I have not cause Exotic Elite is ******** ugly) and display it I would earn a maxed title such as: I'm So Vain, I think this title is about me! or Something else, w/e.

Or If I Max out on Destroyer and Torment Weapons the title could be, Got enough to beat you down.

And so forth for mini pets, and the fellowship shrines. We know anet can pull this off.

Plus it's worth it and well deserved.

No its not worth it. We don't need any new titles. If someone has the destroyer title that means they had 330k and spent it on 11 destroyer weapons (don't need both tormented and destroyer). You spend like 100k to fill your minipets.

Nah..KoaBD is good enough and if you have this, odds are you have a full HoM. Also, it'll be easier for a Para or a Dervish to get the armor title as they have fewer elite armor sets to get. Having it full is good enough.Seeing the comments when you show other people your hall is enough of a reward for me.

Really maxing out (instead of just 'filling') all monuments is not feasible.

Maxing out Friendship is easy enough. Do some challenge missions, charm a pet here and there.

Maxing out Valor is just as easy, you'll only need a trivial amount of cash. It's the only one which gets maxed at the same time as filled.

Maxing out Resilience is still easy, you'll need a bit more cash than for Valor but still nothing to sweat for. It's more of a question about what to do with all that armor.

Maxing out Honor is feasible in theory although I find it extremely unlikely that anybody would do it.

Maxing out Devotion is impossible. There's nobody and I mean nobody in the game with a complete collection and the situation is not going to change.

Thus, there are three monuments not even worth mentioning and two others that are out of reach. /notsigned

If ANY, and I mean any, titles are added, it would be Adventurer for quests completion.

If you've got R6 KoaBD then you'll pretty much have your HoM filled anyway.

PS: The armor title wouldn't work; Core professions have more armor sets than Factions specific ones, and those have even more than the NF ones.

Whats wrong with titles when most of you go after them?

Theoretically, the ONLY person that could get a complete monument of devotion is Gaile Grey, as she has the only exclusive minipet. Even still, taking that out... Getting all the "special" minipets (Kanaxai, vizu, greased lightning, panda, ect...) Good luck with that.

Oh yeah, and gaile grey would never get all the other minipets... so nobody will have all minipets

a) Titles are a grind based concept which is bad
b) Going after them is fine, but making MORE is bad. Theres already 26 easily maxable titles (27 if you have survivor). If you add more, then GWAMM means even less, atleast at the moment it means I wasted 3+ million gold on consumables
c) More titles are bad.

get the 44 titles you can now, then ask for more

Actually - that's a bit wrong.
Titles can be split into 3 simple categories:
1. Titles such as Protector/Cartographer/... are really decent additions and they do not promote grind - one obtains them through playing the game. A Quest hunter title would be a welcome addition to the game in this category.
2. Then there are titles such as Lucky/Wisdom/Chest/... which serve as a bottomless pit to suck the money out of the game. I actually do not mind the addition of such titles - although I wouldn't mind having more balanced version of them. The armour title would fit into this category. (Although the influence on the game that they have IS broken and should be removed! But the titles themselves are quite decent!)
3. And THEN there are the MASSIVELY shitty titles - that promote grind, grind and MORE grind. Pretty much ever title with PvE skills connected to it. Adding more titles such as this would be bad. Actually just having such titles in the game is already bad. Remove them or at least do not add new shit like this!


Considering the OP is presenting a case for a new bottomless pit title - I don't mind it. The armour one sounds fun - the rest don't do much for me.

As I pointed out, to unsign this cause titles are too much, but you go after them anyway is hypocritical.

Titles and armots seem to be the huge motivation in Guild Wars. If that wasn't the case you wont see the majority of GW refilling campaign books to max a title.

Keep it real. A new title for Hall of Monuments would be more than appreciated. Especially for armor, when it's something damn ugly, but you get it to max an armor title rather than keep saying it's just ugly reskin.

The HoM is a place to record titles & achievements, not generate more titles.

You only need 30 titles maxed to max the KoaBD title track. There are already more than enough titles available to do this. Adding more titles makes this even easier to do, and makes the people who have done it look less impressive. I still don't see you saying WHY we would want another title. I can only assume it is so you have an easier time reaching GWAMM.

Just because the majority thinks a certain way doesn't mean they are right.

The best reason for new titles is that titles allow for additional character customization since one is limited by 20 letter when selecting a name.
That's what titles are - an additional line to personalize your character.
At least that's what they should have been had A.Net not screwed up everything by granting certain titles game-affecting properties ....
