Waaaaaay too early of a release if thats true, seriously, they would be killed by diablo 3 and blizzard by the mighty axe of stupidity, IMO.

I think the installment plan is a way to buy the game from that website on "lay-away".

Not a release date.
ALL gaming magizines, websites, etc release their own fake release dates for games off of their own speculation. Just look up the old release dates given for any video game released ever. There is NO value to such claims whatsoever. They are often done just becuase the website "needs" a release date in order for its computer system to be able to accept pre-orders.
There is no way a "prestigous finnish website" would be the first to get this information.

You clearly know nothing about video games. This has been done for EVERY game EVER for like the past 15 years. These release dates mean nothing. They are never right. Just look at all the websites that listed release dates for games that were never even made (duke nukem forever, starcraft ghost, etc).

I've seen mods reading this thread. Why isn't this closed already? It is pure speculation and will do nothing but confuse Guru members and cause uneeded speculation. I don't want to hear anymore "OMG a.net lied to us, GW2 wasn't released on time" crap because of some release date made up by an obscure finnish website.

There is nothing criminal about getting a thread closed or deleted on guru. It is not some crime against humanity. It actually happens a lot. You should not feel so personally offended if your thread gets closed or deleted, or if someone suggests that it should be.

I'm pretty sure that ANet had their own projected release date for GW2 (beta?) that was pushed back. If ANet is prone to schedule changes, I don't know how a third party can be more accurate than them. That supposed release date means nothing.
