Why only the Warrior?

Hope I have placed this in the right place.

First off I have been playing GW since shortly after it came out and I still play to this day, granted not as much as when I first got it, but still enough to make my wife mad. When I GWEN I was thrilled at the prospect of creating a monument to my characters and being able to bring over some of it to 2, but then I found out that all the hard work I had put into getting the green weapons that I wanted I found out that only certain weapons could go it there, ones that you had to pay a small fortune to get made, I found that a little disappointing. Then I found after spending another small fortune, that the dwarven armor I had made could not be placed into my monument and that there was no elite armor from GWEN except for the warrior silver eagle.

I find that very disappointing, are the other professions not worthy of a set of armor to display in there monuments? And why the rehash of old models with new textures. I understand that they have a business to run, but if I had know that it was not going to have anything more unique than a set of armor that not even my main character can use, I might have thought long and hard about spending the $40 that I did for it.

Now after the excitement of GWEN and the new hero addition MOX, I find that once again I a losing interest in the game. With nothing to look forward too, and GW2 not being released anytime soon I may lose all interest in the game. That is something I do not want to happen so I would like to make a suggestion to the devs.

How about creating small expansions, or one medium expansion, something that would introduce elite armors for the other professions maybe even a silver eagle version for every profession. I would even be willing to pay a small fee for something that would introduce completely new elites for the other professions. Not sure how any of it could be tied into the over all story but I feel that something must be done to keep interest in the game or 2 my get lost when it comes out and I do not want to see that.

Sorry for the long rant, but this is something that has been eating at me for a long time.

The Dwarven Armor is the only armor from EotN that can't be put in the HoM, Norn, Asuran and Ebon Vanguard can

1. -all- eotn armor is elite...not jus eagle armor

2. expect hom changes in nov. to be able to add tormented weaps (and hopefully other kinds)

3. anet is lazy and clueless...dun expect much from them

Hm. Gotta try again. It's just a shame pretty much all elite armors are so goddamn ugly.

My Paragon's monument armour is on display now, and has been for a long time. Maybe you just got lucky and encountered a short term glitch or something.

As far as I can remember, only the dwarven armors couldn't be added because they aren't considered a set. And the eagle was added because it was a leftover set they had.

Asuran, Monument, and Norn all offer armor for all 10 classes. Warrior included. Warrior actually gets MORE armor to display in the HoM than the other classes due to Silver Eagle.

Um, why is putting random junk in your hall of monuments important? There are hundreds of greens, none of them are special and they have like, no value. It's not like the weapons and armor carry over.

sniper22 - i wouldn't jump the gun about the "it's not like the weapons and caryr carry over" line. buuut.. i'm not saying anything else except for "i love ZoS devs". ^^

I was just a spare armor. They felt like it was a shame not using it after designing it.

That was a mistake.

THey should have saved it until they made the 18 remaining ones for the rest of the professions, and put them in the Eye of the North Credits area as the End-game armor.

I was a bit disappointed about the weapons in the Hall as well. I'd rather put my favorite weapons (be they green, gold, etc.) there than ones I'd have to craft and think are ugly for the most part. My personal favorite weapons would make the Halls more unique (and yes, probably work work for devs).

Green weapons being random junk? It's all a matter of opintion. If you like the item skin/stats and use it, then it isn't junk. Though admittedly some greens are.

And agreed on the Deldrimor armor. Kind of silly that they didn't complete the sets and make them able to be displayed.

And more armor period (rangers/monks/necros have 15 sets, eles/mesmers have 14, sins/rits have 10, paras/dervs only 7).

Speaking of which, why do elementalists and mesmers have one less Prophecies armor than everyone else?

hmm god question. MAYBE... just MAYBE aNet thought ele's and mesmers look sexy enough in their slutty lil outfits to compensate for that 1 missing set? hmmm...

All your numbers were short 1, which I assume was Obsidian. However, you included Ranger as having more than Ele and Mez, while it is short a set, just like those 2 classes. If I missed some, or added some I shouldn't have, correct me. Correct wiki too, as I looked there to make sure I got them all.

Two questions spring to mind.
1) Does your Necro have a tapestry hung on the armor part of his/her hall?
2) Is your Necro *wearing* the required four pieces (chest, legs, arms and feet) of the set when you try to display it? Perhaps you don't have to be wearing the armor to display it the first time, but I've never tried any other way.

I have Monument and Norn armor sets for my Ranger. I had no trouble putting them in her hall. I'm not buying her Asura armor, so I can't test that one.

There were some things in the HoM that surprised me. I was hoping to display the armor I wear, but it's mostly mixed. Variety is always a plus, but it just so seems that HoM only encourages Elite and hard to get things to be displayed. Those are not the actual things that were used by the player during past adventures. If I could display all the stuff I used after completing all three campaigns and expansion, my HoM would tell a story. So I wish there could have been more of a variety in HoM.

It was definitely wrong for them to throw in Silver Eagle for the Warrior without providing any other armors for any other professions. You can't take Silver Eagle away, so all you can ask for is armors for the other 9 professions, which would probably be too much unnecessary work for ANet.

Long story short, ANet made an oversight, and now it's a the point where fixing it is improbable.
