ANet has added a delay between Budger handling out keys and the efficiency of this farm has been severly reduced - Marty
Right so this is an easy peasy farm, It'll solo clear Drakkar lake for sure & likely all areas connected to Drakkar Lake (if only you could take Budger in a dungeon).
I took it over to Jaga Morain and cleared the Vaettir in 1 minute *yawn*.
Because of the massive AOE you'll only get golds and such, but it's a good mindless farm - a bit too so for me but may be usefull/fun for others

how to:
pay 100g to Budger Blackpowder outside Sifhalla
cast up shadow form, agro, press v on your keyboard (target nearest ally) then space (get a barrel), then <F1>(drops it), space, <F1>, wash and repeat.
watch your SF and make sure to F1 before casting again.

Would have been good to use during the grog event. Hopefully if it doesn't get nerfed then I can use it for the next event. Should help a lot by speeding up runs as fast as raptors, while getting extra glacial stone drops.
Assuming that you have to run from outside sifhalla to the place inorder to keep the black powder keg guy with you.

I have actually known about Keg Farming this since two weeks after EoTN was released. I found out about it soon after HoS was nerfed. I used to run HoS solo with sin in about 6 minutes flat. After that got Nerfed, not too much longer after I ran into the other keg guy in Drakkar, and was pretty excited when I found out he had kegs. I Immediately started farming with him when I found out, and eventually took him to Spectrals. So I have been using this keg guy to farm Spectrals for over a year now for farming Golds and Festival Items. I actually kept this farm as one of my best kept secrets in GW, even though I knew there was a very few who was also doing it. I was planning on releasing a guide on it sometime this fall or winter. It's kind of disappointing to see it be revealed, and it will be sad when it is gone. Kind of a wrong move on your end to be honest, especially if you use the keg guy alot to farm, cause it will get nerfed just like the keg guy in HoS, and it will no longer be useful for farming. Better enjoy it while you can. Sorry to be bummed out, but of course I am going to... I been doing this for over a year and I am 100% sure it will get nerfed within a month of reveal, maybe on next update in beginning of october. Well I guess it is a good thing I don't play GW as much anymore anyways. But now Sifhalla will be full of A/E Keg farmers, and people will cry again for a Shadow Form nerf as well. The main reason why I kept it to myself was because of that... it most likely will ruin the keg farm, and maybe shadow form along with it. If Anet didn't constantly take the fun away from us with nerfs, I would have told people about this a year ago, unfortunately they always do.
I also have some ways off getting more drops from keg farming... It is best not to spam as fast as you can, or even drop more kegs than you need to kill the group of enemies. I mainly control my keg drops only with spectres. I actually count the number of kegs I need to kill off a group instead of spamming away... I figured out that Spectrals have exactly 600hp in HM, and it used to only take exactly 12 kegs to kill them without the overkilling. But since it is now 33% damage, I count exactly 18 kegs. This will significantly better your drops, and it is highly noticeable. I know that would be of some debate, but I have been doing it for over a year now, so I know what I am talkin about
I know it sounds kind of odd, but it works. I used to get 2-5 golds and up to 12-14 festive drops in one of the two groups, the bigger group. I used to come back with atleast 50-70 festive drops in alil over an hour. I usually stay out there until my bags are full of golds, usually 20+ golds, and the rest being just tomes, stones, and materials. I usually take a full Superior Salvage kit, along with Superior ID kit... sometimes I take two of both to be safe. But yeah, I usually stay out there until I can't possibly hold anymore stuff, and eventually forced back to town. Usually takes around an hour and half to two hours to fill up. I have also used this to Solo Vanquish all of Northern ShiverPeaks and one Asuran territory. It is also good to farm Reputation with it also.
Well here is the build that I use for my Keg Farming:
Glyph of Swiftness
Deadly Paradox
Shadow Form
Dark Escape
Dwarven Stability
Mindbender
Feigned Neutrality
Ebon Escape
