Double Gold and XP for vanquishing weekend

Randy, bro, i usually get along with you just fine but i gotta disagree with one part of this, Grind, yes, mindless no, not if you do it the old fashioned i'm grandpa and i don't believe in new inventions and refuse to run cons/ursan/sabway and actually think up your builds, not so mindless if you don't let it become mindless. Plus it makes you feel like you've achieved more when you either a) come up with a shmexy build that melts everything that everyone else is not using and is your very own. or b)tailor your builds from zone to zone or run to run.

when it comes to now adays, everything is grind...grind elites..grind pvp...grind farming... grind titles..rinse...grind the rinsing of the repeating.

So, when it comes to grind-gasms, if you want it to be less mindless, put a little bit of thought into it. That at least lubricates the crank on the grind wheel and makes it less unbearable (get it un-bear-able, lolololol i'm retarted)

finished vanquishing a long time ago. already have 20+mil exp with over 1600 skill points. what the hell is up with anet? do something useful (and fun) for once.

Vanquishing stopped being respectable on 31 August, 2007.

No point in doing any VQ if they are going to make all the title account wide anyway (which will probably be the case with the QQing).
Double gold (woopeee) isnt going to convince me.

I am glad you are so confident. After all the past "We wont do this - followed by them doing it, I cant share your confidence anymore (I also dont think they will btw but who knows.. its anet..). after completing most titles on my main - I started on ones on different chars - noe until I see the actual HoM update, I have stopped, there is nothing more annoying than working for and spending countless k on alcohol/sugar etc just to find it made obsolete in a second.

Well, the QQing that wants titles for all is kinda justifiable, for if you don't have a mastery of all the classes in the game, you are bound to fail, and the only way for anet to support those that have gone through the paces with all of their characters is to accountwide titles, it's the right thing to do... otherwise it's a punishment to those playing the game the way it was originally meant to be played. But lets not turn this thread into a discussion about that please, i'm sure OP would dig it more than a flower of gardens if we didn't.

They won't make the vanquisher title account-wide. Stop inventing and spreading rumors.

A little offtopic , is the update coming with the weekend too?
It would be nice to make builds with the new skills.

Anyways, eh I've been thinking of vanquishing a few zones reccently. Getting close to finishing, just ran out of motivation.

Guess I'll vanquish Elona a bit this weekend. The rewards are pretty terrible; they should be upped anyway.

Ho-hum. I wish the double for vanquish was perma, because the rewards sometimes seem stale.

Scroll double makes me lol. What was the point of that one?

I think that the end reward for the vanquish is all that is doubled, not the experience from kills. Same thing goes with gold - end bounty is doubled, monsters don't drop twice the gold.

This would have been a great weekend a year ago. WTF are they thinking?

can't they just quadrouple the gold instead ? i dont need the XP, really... nearly 600 unused skill points here.

What is the point of the scrolls and xp (not to mention the rediculously low level of gold obtained during a vanquish, even when doubled) ? Oh you can use it to get to level 20 faster... wait, you have to be 20 to get into hard mode to be able to vanquish. Hrmmmmm. Oh, the scrolls can be sold to those who want to get powerleveled... wait there are much better and quicker ways to do that than with scrolls. Hrrmmmmm. Oh, I need to to have for bragging rights that my level 20 has more skill points than yours. Great use of a weekend.

If they really wanted to make vanquishing useful, add some reputation points of the zone that you're in in GWEN when you are done as a reward on top of what you get from the bounties. Then double that this weekend and you might have something worth posting on the login page.
