Does anyone ever go to The Underworld/Fissure of Woe.....

perhaps with a friend and heroes or even just few people and heroes or even with just guildies....just to see how much you can clear out

When I say that I mean taking on no quests but the mandatory ones (clearing the chamber being the obvious one from UW) and if you succeed in clearing the old place then taking on quests to see how far you get WITHOUT the usual stuff that people use (ie ursans, terras, perma etc)

I mentioned those two specifically because they require payment to get in but I suppose you can include DoA in that as well if you wish.

As for me, I cleared the entire UW, 2 people and heroes. then did a few quests afterwards (in a bad order according to the wiki, I did the escort of souls quest first after clearing the place)

Luckily, with favor up, I can go as much as I want just for fun the way i mentioned since scrolls are cheap and 1k isn't hard to get if you plan on going without a scroll

Most people just do it and finish the quests; clearing all monsters is kind of redundant because it doesn't garner you the Underworld Chest/Chest of Woe.

People play this game for loot, not to have fun. So I would guess the majority would say no.

and on reading other things, I'm curious about wither my warrior could serve as a W/E Tank for the hardest quests (servants of grenth/four horseman) even with some practise.

If so I might get father like that than I did last time. Loot is good but I also prefer just having fun and trying out hard/challenging things

I have to say I've never completed UW, but I have done FoW a fair few times. Mostly with my brother, its fun testing out new 8 man teams against some of the hardest enemies in the game.

Maybe some people find getting loot fun. I surely do.

Yea, if I play UW / FoW at all, it is mostly a solo run for ecto. I have already cleared them both.

I've done such "complete clearouts" of underworld and fissure of woe twice: first with friends and second when EotN and HoM was released, with players from finnish gw-forum. We had somewhat balanced group setup and killed every mob on our way of finishing quests. Underworld took something like 2h 50min and FoW just below 2 hours. Good times, I must admit!

Tried with a friend and 6 heroes. On our 3 attempt, we manege to get 6 quest done clearing as we went alone. We got own at the horseman.

We both were running Sabway, him the classic version, me a modified one.

We did have a good time and both got our firsts ecto drops.

lucky :P best thing me and my girlfriend got during our run was me, a ruby and a phantom key and she got 2 underworld scrolls. no ectos XD.

looking into Terra Tank builds for my warrior just now on pvx so that perhaps I'll have a chance against the four horseman lol >_>

Yup, me and two guildies were bored at 4am in the morning once so we decided to just see what we could do in the UW with heroes (bear in mind none of us were thinking about builds properly ). Got to escorting the souls (this was our 4th quest) and failed. Miserably. Then about 2 months later me and one of the guildies did a fow run with heroes in NM, we did it but at the expense of him not being able to get to the chest. He had died in a mob, i was the only person alive and id used my res. I was able to solo the last wolf then chest spawned, he ressed, died, and then that just left me alive. With no res. Took us 3 hours though. Stupid irl people.

Yes I often play with two accounts to get 6 heroes and have a fun run in DoA, UW or FoW. All in normal mode and with cons in DoA though, but it's fun and I like to find out and test synergy builds. Also because I can go as a smiter or play with an adjusted HB bar and whatnot, which are builds a pug would never allow me to bring.

Used to all the time but I would prefer to stab myself in the face with an icepick multiple times than to go with a childish, short tempered, over aggro'ing ursan team. Now that they have killed FoW/UW SF runs which used to be a blast to do a full run in a group, I don't see myself doing this again for a while.

Oh I long for the days when an actual group of people running balanced builds was possible to find.

my husband and I did all the quests in the fow with heroes---on our 3rd attempt (3 seems to be a good number) we actually finished them all ---no griffons died etc....it was kinda neat--so then we went around the whole area and killed anything left. took a bunch of hours to do (no con sets, geez its pretty easy anyways in normal mode). You just need to watch your aggros-and bring the right heroes.
Was nice to see my statue in the HoM...dont know if I will do it again soon....though I have another character or 2 that would like to have that statue as well-----
now the uw, havent been there ........................last year sometime????

With a guildmate, and 6 heroes, HM FoW cleared in ~2h10

Ages ago, before the introduction of the end chest, we used to clear UW for ectos. Recently we have only been only doing speed runs for the end chest. No point in wasting hours when ecto prices have collapsed.

I used to solo them for drops, but haven't in a long time.

Me and my friends occasionaly do a full clear of FOW when we are not getttin any good drops in normal runs. Then we will start doing crazy pulls int he fire forest or run around naked and clear everything.

Unless im solo faming thats the only way I will go to FoW/UW is with a guildie/friend.

I play this game for fun. I could care less about cash.
Hell I give most of my stuff to guildies or if nobody wants it they go to my heroes.
