How did you get your FoW armor?

Well I was wondering how everyone managed to get their money for a FoW armor. Did you farmed everything, or did you got lucky with certain drops in certain areas?

Maybe this will also inspire people (like me) to go to new places in order to get that FoW armor.

I don't know if there's a topic like this already, I couldn't find it atleast.

My first one i got when i farmed titan gems with a friend while they were still worth it.

My second one I got when HM came out and I got a r9 and r10 colossal scimitar before the prices plummeted.

1st set, had the mats given to me for Christmas.
2nd set, sold two months worth of xunlai tourney zkeys.

Farmed like 20 ectos with W/Rt waaaaay back (ectos @ 12k), then got bored and started powertrading. Managed to get my money really fast, bought my second set when ectos were 5,5k each, couldnt resist it (money with powertrading still). Bought my third set a week ago, ectos are too low now, so I had to buy another one . I get all my money with powertrading like many other ppl.

October/november 2005, when ectos was 15k each.

Small trapper teams in UW, spider farming in FoW with my warrior, forest farming in FoW with my ranger.
Some decent drops, but nothing really amazing.
A crapload of farming, basically.

I got my necro's set in January 2006, after farming minotaurs, Sorrow's Furnace, Tombs and 55/SS farms with guildies. Took me a couple weeks.

My second set came mostly from W/Rt solo farm runs and Tombs runs, spanning 4 months (casual playing for 2 months). I got the 3rd set within a week from DOA famine/600/smite farming, and about 3 weeks of farming the same spot for my 4th. I casually farmed with the W/Rt and did DOA runs for my 5th, while I gave in and bought my 6th after a week spent in UW on my permasin.

i farmed 600rit/smite and solo terra tanked UW to get mine. no, no perma sin.

I have 2 FoW armor sets.

One I bought before Factions release and cost me ~1.500.000 gold.
I mainly got my income from farming greens at Sorrow's Furnace and some Duo 55/SS UW farming with my brother. In those days ecto's were ~10K.

The second was for my primairy character. She turned GWAMM last december and everybody kept telling me that she needs a FoW-set for the HoM. I didn't like the armor but still bought it last february. Playing HA earned me quite some gold and I spend everything I had on this armor. Costing ~900K Ecto's were ~5K at that time.

How did you got your FoW armor?

I will tell you how i did got my fow armor.

I did got my set number uno my doing the farming of anguish domain

I did got my second number set by gotting and selling the keys of zaishen

I literally have my monk to thank. 600/smite and 55/SS all 105 of my ectos/shards for my FOW armor. Took me almost 3 months. Then SF got buffed...I manged to get 2 sets of chaos gloves in 3 weeks. But I love the FoW armor since I worked my ass off for it. And tbh, I would probably do it again

Solo/duo farming UW back in 2005, getting gold far too easy.

I was going to wait until ectos dropped to 1K and get it the lazy way, but then the twits at anet got involved.

First Set: DoA farming
Second Set: Halls Drops
Third Set: Halls Drops

Doing a lot of farming off and on, but mostly through just playing the game. It never felt rushed.

My warrior got hers through tons of running back in Prophecies-only days. Some farming, but running was vastly more fun back then.

My monk got hers primarily through all-guild FoW runs. She also farmed UW a bit back then.

I stole it off a wammo.

1st set: Vermin farming 60-70k per day before it was nerfed (yes I spent way too much time doing that).

2nd set: DoA farm+UW ele solo+CoF farming+salvaged my first set (didn't play my warrior anymore)
