Armor Drops

I'm lazy and didn't search because I probably would have seen/heard about this already.

Anyway I think there should be green armor pieces throughout the game. Let certain bosses drop parts of their armor, or armor in general.

This could be an "easy" way of revitalizing the game until gw2. Let monsters be able to drop armor pieces, arm, leg, foot, chest, helmet...etc. Bosses could drop green armors which are just like their weapons, modded a certain way and in many cases very unique in their skin.

So give us more armor choices, random dropped armor, from low levels all the way to dungeons, fow and uw.

We already have monsters dropping their armor pieces but all they're really good for is collectors and mats. Why not let us be able to wear armors that drop. How cool would it be to have margonite armor?

I'm just saying, with the disappointing amount of content that came out of gwen, this would be a good way to make the entire game more enjoyable.

this would take a ridicluos amount of code to be implemented. Which means anet wont invest the time in because of stalling gw2, making people whine even more.

Don't make it have unique stats.. Then it would probably be some teh leetz armor peices that would make the game "Gear Wars" not
Guild Wars.. And I don't want it to be like that...

Though the idea of other skins is cool, aslong as it get's customized to the player once it's dropped.

QFT, I'm quite happy with not having to run the same instance for a month to get the armor piece I want like some of my WoW friends.

this game is built on being balanced... and would destroy the concept. Yes, it would be good to have a WoW type MMORPG thats free to play, but this isn't it.

Guild Wars? I thought this game was called Title Wars.

This applys to every item in game. PEOPLE FARM THEM. Greens, Dyes, rare skined Golds. So why are you complaining about it "being like WoW" when you have to do it for all other items in game.

I am confused as to where it says you will be forced at gun point to get these armor pieces?

It's a rather simple problem to solve if it were implemented: don't bother getting them.

I like the fact that you have to buy your armor in GuildWars. It makes it more realistic and it sets different goals than farming armor pieces. But bosses that would drop green HERO armor pieces. Now that could be something.

But of course you can never get enough armor types ^^.

same goes for green weapons.

fortunately titles have zero effect on pvp. if there were unique stats on some boss-only armors then players who might be very good at pvp but don't want to spend time farming armor in pve would be at a disadvantage.

The current system is better. Also, what happens if a caster gets a Warrior peice? Does it become automatically customised, thus becoming useless for everyone? If not, then it just gets traded down to low-level players, thus destroying basically every armor trader in the game.

Grind Wars, Title Wars, Build Wars and now you want Gear Wars? nothxbai

well by unique stats obviously nothing ridiculous, within reason. and the greens wouldn't get automatically customized. if an ele gets a warrior armor piece drop, sell it, put it on your other characters. idk if there's anyone who only has one character, so it shouldn't be too huge of an issue.

well everyone basically runs the same builds now anyway, in pretty much everything that is done in gw.

the armors would only be for PVE. and people already spend ridiculous amounts of gold/ectos...etc on things that really have no special bonus. might as well give people something to spend on that actually helps them. no this doesn't make the game unfair, it's already easy enough to do everything with no special items. but for those who have played long enough, who are able to afford it, let them get something actually special. and at the same time anyone could be getting these special things, random drop.

What Guild Wars needs is gold sinks, not more farming.
