best use of Measure for Measure?

I did a search on 'measure' but only got 2 hits. One suggested using them on Great Conches from raptors to get a lot of dust (90+ off gold items). Was wondering if there's a more profitable salvage to use them on in the same time? I have 40+ MfM on a mule and need to clear out some space

Mostly tho, I hear references to using the inscription on ruby/jewelled daggers to increase the chance (or number) of rubies/sapphires. I am planning on making a Vabbi armor set eventually, but its not a current priority and this use of the inscription seems pretty hit or miss.

I can only think of ruby weapons / iridescent aegis

either the ruby daggers or the jade/amber weapon drops/chests.

To be honest, even the ruby/jeweled weapons haven't given me anything special with the inscriptions. I can't speak to whether or not the MfM increases the chance of getting gemstones, but I know that all the times I've had it on I've only gotten one ruby or sapphire. I'd save them for weapons that salvage into iron or granite, because those are hot right now.

You'll get around 20% chance to salvage a ruby/sapphire/diamond with MfM on it. I've gotten around 5-10 this way.

I salvaged 139 piles of dust from a great conch before. I was like WOAH!!!!

I got 97 from a purple conch, so now i always put MfM's on purples that I know will give me something worth it.

I like the dust suggestion, will have to try that next time raptor farming.

Another good use that has been suggested is ruby daggers / Hammer and jeweled daggers. I think these are good suggestions, see picture.

if you savage ruby daggers and jeweled staff give you ruby and sapphire

Jeweled Staff do not give any gems, sorry. Ruby Daggers, Ruby Mauls, and Jeweled Daggers will give you gems.

Ruby Daggers = ruby
Ruby Mauls = ruby
Jeweled Dagger = Sapphires.
