Monks On Strike!!

So Let Me start of by saying Being a Monk is my Main profession & I enjoy it alot! Well I've been helping Ursans for a long time build up their Norn Rep, So They Can Do DoA & FoW as they get their rep near max! Never once thought of Charging anyone to heal them! Ever!!...... UNTIL TODAY!!! I Decided With All the Ursan Hype I would Start Doing DoA as a HB monk! To my Suprise Ursans are now Charging Me to heal them!!! WHAT!!! yes it may only be 1K but its the sheer principal of the matter! all those long hrs grinding Ursan rep farm, The same HB Build Over & over & over!!!!! to have them spit in my face & charge me 1k everytime they use a Con set! Oh & Heres the Kicker When its time to Face Mallyx the guy using the Con Set Charges Everyone in the group 1k So he makes 7K for his Con Set & he gets of Scott Free! Guess What 9.9 out of 10 times Someone Screws up the Run & gets everyone killed! And all I can think is Man I paid 1k for that!!!!

So Here is My Solution to all Monks out their! If your in Olafstead Because theirs Such a HIGH demand for HB Monks! Charge 3K!!! Why 3K do you ask! Well out of a party of 8 two of those will be HB Monks Leaving 6 Ursan Paying 1K a piece 3K to each Monk! Now Look at it this way out of that 3K 1K is for the Ursan Run ATM Another 1K is For The DoA or FoW run you will Do later & the Final 1K Will pay for the Con Set of That Run! Seem's Fair To Me!!!!

Until It is a Know Fact HB Monks Heal For 3K on Ursan Rep Farms!

Haven't had the experience of someone charging me for something of that sort. If it does happen I'll just leave simple as that really. There are tons of other groups that are in need of an HB monk. This is also why I really don't play with other people, H/H nearly 99% of the time. Sometimes I do play with guildies and maybe allies.

I agree. When there are 15 groups of ursans standing around each looking for 2 monks why should the monks not be able to charge.

I'm guessing Dunkoro, Tahlkora, and Ogden are on strike as well?

I don't even have to charge, desperate ursan groups offer to pay me lol.

As for Con Sets, i also think us paying is BS. Cmon, ursan is 1,2,3,4 , you have the easiest job out there, and some of you still suck at it! Maybe ursans should just pay set user 1.2k each, to make up for the monks not paying, because our job is much harder than yours.
It's not about the cash, as i have plenty of that, but the point. We have to pay you to do the easiest job in the world O.o. AFK-ing is harder task than ursan for goodness sake.

Actually saw some guys paying monks (1k) to heal them in Olafstead today, but I guess that's because there were very few monks in comparison to Ursans.

In my mind, this is useless, we must play (or help, for that matter) for free. Someone makes a mistake, that's life, we're humans, we do theese kind of things. Move on...

If you're part of the team, act like it. Just because you're a monk does not mean you should have less responsibility to the group. It is incredibly fair that everyone should pay about 850g for a conset. People are not charging for you to heal them - they are making you share the cost of being in the group.

Without the Ursans, you wouldn't have stuff dead. Without you, they wouldn't live. Again, quit whining. If you don't know how to share your weight in the group, H/H everything. Your attitude is pathetic.

btw, these DOA/Mallyx runs, do you get any drops/gems/chest out of them? Or do you give all that stuff to the Ursans who pay you 3k?

Hero monks are better than most human monks anyways. Monk strikes have been dead since Nightfall.

This is another reason why monks should be nerfed. They are stuck up, being arguably the most powerful class in the game. You need at least 1 or more (rits are not good healers) in 90% of builds. Every other profession can be replaced as a generic "damage dealer". Yet most people don't like to play them because of the boring gameplay (Watching healthbars go up and down).

They seem to think they are justified to not pay for a conset, while everyone else has to pay while they make more money after years of 55 monking being the undisputed best way to farm.

Is it any surprise when there is a relative shortage (since you need 2+ in every party) of people who play this boring, overpowered class, and the people who do are stuck up?

I'm a good enough monk to do without Con Sets, the only reason i would ever need them is if i get in a group of stupid ursans who can't keep agro. Monks only really need essence, and i would gladly pitch in 2-300g for that, however rest are not needed, if Ursans can do a good job at body blocking.

As a monk i gladly pay the 1k for cons, consumables are for a team effort. So the whole team needs to chip in, why shouldn't monks help out? Are you special? Are you not in the team? If you dont want to pay the 1k at malyx brinf your own consumables and let the rest pay 1k, as easy as that.

but charging for monking is way over it
if a guy start charging me for his monking services i'm just gonna take my hero to monk for me

i heard running HB monk is hard...oh wait

I haven't used a real monk outside of Alliance mates for so long. I also have a monk but refuse to heal pug groups unless they are newbies and need a real helping hand.
