I couldn't find the poll option so I went with the next best thing. Reply with a yes or no and maybe a reason why or why not. I personally will be purchasing it right away because Guild Wars was probably the most addicting game I ever played even when Arena Net nerfed all the things they did. I look back on it the game before I was banned and remember all the good times I had just finishing the game.

Avarre : Added a poll.

Unless I get some recommendations for it from friends, probably not.

I will buy it if the reviews of the media and players are good after a month of it being released.

I have enjoyed GW since 2005 but would hope that GW2 does not start out as GW has finished. That would stop me from buying it.

What was bad about Guild Wars that made you choose this decision?

Clever.
Not enough things to do after level 20 (FoW, UW, re-skined instances, skins, etc). They ran outta ideas and simply added grind titles. Hey, it worked tho right? There are still people who play this game just to max out useless titles.

If I could, I'd vote for:

I plan to see what GW2 is like at least one to two months after its release for purchasing. If it looks good enough for me to think about playing, then, and only then will I buy it. Otherwise, I don't need more things to be consider a waste of my time.

But because I can't, I voted no.

True, I want them to raise the level cap. I don't want it to be something ridiculously high though.

Right now my intention is not to get it. My hope is that The Chronicles of Spellborn will take GW's mantle as the place to get balanced, skill based, no mandatory grind pve gameplay.

Of course I will. A game I played 2000+ hours on and I'm not going to buy the sequel? C'mon!

However, it will be a deal-breaker if its not up to standards. I may not agree with a lot of the development decisions as of late with GW1, but keep in mind that these are the same devs who originally made the game I fell in love with and devoted 2000+ hours of my life to. I still trust them, but if they cheat me out another $50, then I'm out and never looking back.

I wracked up 2,000+ hours as well. Those are my thoughts exact and that's why I'm buying it right away. I don't see anything else that actually looks interesting to play and isn't $15 a month.

Regardless I have a character with full decked HoM but looking at Anet's direction, at this point, I'd say no.

If there is no mesmer or mesmer-like class , ANET won't see a dime from me.

With Starcraft 2 out, I see no reason to buy GW2.

I have faith in Blizzard - they have yet to turn out a crappy game (ok, WC3 wasn't all that great, but far from crappy).

That attitude prevents you from protesting to ANet the only way you can. Would you buy a house or a car you had never seen?

Sure I will. I have plenty of time invested in the HoM, and I'm looking forward to new content. Anet has excellent support, and the game pretty much the best value for the gaming dollar if GW1 is any example.

Yes I will buy it.

Will I keep playing it? Time will decide. What will happen for me is I will play for a couple months, then a better MMO will come out. When that better MMO gets destroyed because of 9 million + subscribers wanting to be casual failures, I will come back to guild wars 2.

And for gods sake A-Net, no character based titles.
