Fun, fun. I'm low on lockpicks now so I guess I'll be farming raptors and vaettiers a bit this weekend If I have time I think I'll go farm lucky points outside ascalon.

Good weekend to buy unid golds in Rata Sum... Black and White dye prices will drop too. During the cupcake weekend, the merchant buying price on black dye dropped all the way down to 4700...

Hate to burst your bubble here - but the chance for gold drops from chests doesn't change this weekend. However if you get a gold you WILL get double Lucky points

EDIT: I meant to say "However if you retain your lockpick you WILL get double Lucky points" regardless if it's a gold or purple. /oops

Unless you're a ghoul who plays GW 24/7 (oh wait ) it's highly unlikely you'll max Lucky this weekended even with the double Lucky bonus (unless you were really close to maxing it to begin with, of course )

I've been chasing treasure hunter title, and im nearing the end...

Wrong, if you retain your Lockpick you will get double lucky points. It has nothing to do with the loot being purple or gold.

Its cool. Now you can choose to farm LP-s or go for lucky/unlucky (e.g CR). Or maybe both. Too bad I'll be away this weekend QQ

IMHO, the fastest area for chest running would be Ice Cliff Chasms right outside Boreal Station. On average, I've been making 45 chests per hour. The run is easy and there is a chance for two chests to spawn. Skillbar consists of Dash, Dwarwen Stability and "I'm Unstoppable!". I'm r5 treasure hunter and r5 lucky which adds up to a 68% retention chance on normal mode.


I'm looking forward to this weekend. Raptor and hydra farming with breaks for some chest runs FTW. Good thing the forecast is rain and low temperatures. Good thing I bought 2 stacks of lockpicks.

What Cataphract said (hi, seen you many times down there). You'll want to add Dark Escape to the skill bar if you intend to pop the occasional HM pinesoul/aloe chest as well.

There are in average more chests per a HM run, and both in NM and HM the loot consists entirely of weapons and offhands (no armor pieces or tomes ). The difficulty is the same (none) in both modes. I have been able to do about 60 chests per hour in HM (just maxed treasure last night, yay).
