People like everyone who posted here is what ruines games.

Titles ARE NOT GRINDING, unless you think like that and only go after them.
Titles are REWARDS for playing the game. Again only if your mind is set on a title THEN it's grinding.
If you're just playing the game how you suppose to then it isn't grinding, it's RPGing...

Now that I cleared that.
My dervish has a legit Legendary Survivor, legit as being played not farmed.
I'm currently working on Assassin and Ritualist R3 survivors, which will take me many months of playing. (Because it's legit)

My dervish is 131/141 elites in cantha too. Realm of torment is roughing me up!
I don't much use forums anymore especially for information or whatever.
I just found out about HFFF during the last AB weekend, now these titles don't impress me, when I see high ranks =/

After recently getting my 1Glad point in RA I have a new respect for people who RA, because that is a pain in the butt.. frustrating
Hero is nothing special to me.

Doing missions in NM that are hard enough then think "DAMN" people who do this in HM, GG to them..

Only my titles and people I know impress me. Everyone else I just think "farmed"

The most prestigious title is a very personal and subjective thing.

Who cares if someone thinks, “Oh, you paid a lot of gold for the ‘Drunken’ title,” for example? The fact is that maybe you said to yourself, “This particular warrior of mine is a drinker, so I can’t wait until he has the drunken title, because it’s part of his character.”

And then your warrior gets the drunken title and you feel good about checking off that box. For you, that is an achievement and it adds to your character. It’s not important what others think. They don’t know your character’s story. It is personal and you can tell your friends or guildies if it comes up in discussion.

Cartography since lots of people are impatient lazy bums and like to run past everything. Cartography shows you have patience and enjoy sightseeing the world (especially Tyria which is full of areas you don't visit in the campaign).

Title's have really lost most of whatever prestige they had by now. Any PvE related title can be gotten easily by imba PvE skills (we all know what they are) or retarded stuff like grinding chests and wall hugging.

In the PvP realm, the Hero title basically means you have lots of time to play mirror matches with whatever the current fotm is, while Gladiator is a joke in the first place. Leaving a good ranked Champion as the only title that would actually mean anything if I saw it.

If only there were a special title given out for politeness and good (or even decent?) spelling. Those two qualities > any title.

QFT!

Titles don't show much these days, unfortunately, because of how people react to people with/without them.

1. Jealousy "ur title is bad becuz i dont hav it"
2. Elitism "I'm better than you because I have X title!!!11"
3. Because rather than getting titles for ones self they are getting titles to show false superiority over someone else. And this creates hate for certain titles. Other than that it's due to people exploiting the easiest possible way to gain something with little cost to them... But hey that's how most of the world works today, instant gratitude with little work. But as a good book says, "A man reaps what he sows".

The only requirements for maxing out all PvE titles are: Time for grinding, money to buy stuff, and the patience of saints.

No skills involved what so ever.

If I park my dog infront of the computer long enough, he'll probably get "God walking among mere mortals".

I have to take exception to this. The only requirement to get gladiator is that you can click enter arena and can move around a bit so your team doesn't think you are AFK. I think the huge amount of builds that get defended by "But it worked for me in RA!" excuse is enough to prove that. Hero isn't that much better, seeing how anyone can get ranks there with iway/sway/ritspike/whatever bs is being ran there now. Before the PvE skills were introduced, I would have rated leg vanquisher or guardian higher then those two, but now its about equal.

I will agree with you on champions, they usually deserve at least a little respect.

You need to actually win 5 battles in a row to get a glad point. Im not defending the Glad title, it is probably easier to get than other PvP titles. Yet, it does involve at least some skill needed to win 5 battles in a row against human players. PvE title grinding invollves no skill to mention.

^read that whole thread and tell me again that gladiator still requires any more skill then hard mode PvE. If you still do think so thats fine, no reason to argue back and forth over meaningless words under someone's name.

Cartography was always a joke. Texmod made it a joke with less grind.

I find the Legendary Guardian title to impress me the most.
There is no easy way to get that.
If I see someone with that title, I pretty much believe they know PvE inside and out.

For PvP it would be the Champion title that impresses me the most.
If I see someone with that, I pretty much believe they know their PvP inside and out.

That's true, but out of the titles available for PvP, that's the one that impresses me the most. It's a shame that there are so many titles that can be skirted around with cheap tactics.
I consider the Legendary Guardian one the most impressive to me because you specifically have to do a huge list of things, many of them extremely difficult. There's no way around it.

Legendary Guardian is impressive because it requires huge skill at PvE (i do mostly pve so nothing to say about pvp). Some missions are just extremely difficult and there's no res-shrines. If your party wipes, try again.

Legendary Vanquisher is requires PvE skill, but i'd prefer Guardian over it because vanquishing is mostly boring grind. Skill PvE > Grind PvE.

Any title i have not maxed yet....and they'r all about having loads of money! Got my legendary vanquisher by doing all missions in all campaigns using only h/h.

the underlined bit is not really relevant to my point but i left it in

i've seen services on guru fro Fame Farming and Raising GvG rank to the top 100 and i may be wrong glad point farming too.

Also anyone can grind Ha all day for some fame, its not an impressive title at >R4 same with all pvp titles if you do it long enough you'll get it, so beore ye moan about pve being easy take a look at pvp.

Yeah, kind the same way I feel about PvP noob titles. They mean absolutely nothing.
