Phantom Tonic drop rate?

I have about 35k and that's 7 keys at 5k each. Should I take the gamble? I've tried the chest before and the drops seem pretty crappy to even attempt.

Personnaly, if i were going to open it just for the tonic, i wouldnt use any less than 100, just to be safe, so far ive opened it 7 times all 7 times i got one extra point to my sugar title

That's exactly what I'm worried about. I have nothing else to use the money and I've never gotten a set of Obsidian armor so well I guess hope for the best.

Waste of money. Say the drop rate is 1/1000 and you're buying 7 tries. You need to invest a LOT to 'guarantee' a lottery victory, the small gambles are in fact where the trick is.

well it is all luck it doesnt matter if u have 100 or 1 the chest drops w/e it (forget the term) well its drops have no affect on eachother... with 7 u may get one with 100 your chances only go up bc ur using more

unless you're UaX, keys should be the last thing to be worried about. Sell them and make money. it's easier than towncamping in D2

Instead of spending gold on Z keys, find someone willing to sell you the tonic. Unless you mean the everlasting version, in which case, forget about it entirely. You don't have enough gold, and the odds are terrible for getting one with 7 keys.

It only takes one key for a phantom or everlasting drop. its not like you have to have 10 keys to get a good drop. Might as well go for it. As you said you have "nothing to lose"

Well I spent like 50k and got 10 but didn't get much. this chest sucks ass you don't even get req. 9 weapons. The thing is I'm only interested in PvP now unless a everlasting phantasmal tonic drops. I have nothing else to do with the money so why not blow it. I'm getting sick of the game and I'll never get into a guild unless I have rank so oh well.

Yep; burnt 10 keys just to see if I'd get lucky with the new item & got 1 reg phantas tonic, 3 brulee, 4 fw and 2 crap golds... better off buying your tonic down the road than to try your luck with Z-keys..

Not much out there that looks good and definitely no MMOs.

My rule is that PvP never made me money before, so it'd be merely a luxury to add it to my income. If I get lucky with the chest then great, it made me some cash. If not then great, I got some title points and some sweet points.

I don't spend money on keys, but if I get the Balth faction for it I'll use the keys myself.

You never know. I got 19 keys out of the RP i got this month. Nothing good.
But i got a voltaic spear a while back on my 7th open.....so it's all luck of the draw.
