Well, guys and gals, it's about that time of year again. Saji here and I'm going to give you a little information about this year's, Pink Day in LA.
We're going with the theme that, "Gamers Care Too." Why? Well, with all the recent news stories about how people who play video games, especially violent ones, are bad people, and when a crime is committed, such as a shooting, you will no doubt hear about how the person was playing the newest Grand Theft Auto game, or some other violent game. But, obviously, not everyone who plays games is violent or bad. We're doing this event this year to show others that an online community with players from around the world can get together and support a worthy cause. We want to show the world that GAMERS CARE TOO!
Now, remember last year, where I gave a little speech on the subject of Breast Cancer? Well, it was awkward, trying to get people's attention with others constantly spamming. So, this year, there won't be any big speech on the subject, but instead, DRGN is making a site dedicated to informing gamers about Breast Cancer risks, treatments, and more. Check it out over at Pink Day in LA on Draconus-United.com
"But what about in-game?" - I hear you ask. Well, to show support, like last year, we want everyone to get their armor decked out in brilliant pink. We want to see everyone in the district wearing pink, but, you'll have to supply your own dye! Sadly enough, last year we had many people take the free handouts of dye for granted, along with the fact we had rude players who interfered with other aspects of the event (such as the end photo-ops).
But fear not, as DRGN is bringing something new to the table this year, trivia. Everyone loves answering questions you can simply "google" for free items, am I right? This year, we'll be having a "Trivia Master" in each district we can fill up, who will ask breast cancer-related questions that you can answer for sweets and alcohol! Not only is it fun, but it's a great way to get people to look up information! :P
BladeRadio
BladeRadio, along with major alliances such as KISS, has offered their support in hopes of making Pink Day a much more grand event than DRGN could hope to achieve alone. We're glad to accept their help in making Pink Day bigger and better than last year and look forward to working with BladeRadio in the future! Also joining DRGN is BladeRadio's very own King of the Snowmen! Truly this will be a great event! Standby for more details!
The day the event will take place will be June 14th, 2008 (Saturday), in Lion's Arch International District 1 (and 2 and 3 and so on if need be). We want to make this year's Pink Day in LA an even bigger success than last year's event! Again, expect things to get started around Noon EDT (-4 GMT).
If you or your guild is interested in helping out, let us know (we'll need a lot of help getting enough sweets and alcohol :P)*! But the easiest, best, and most appreciated way for you to help is to be in LA on June 14th and bring your armor dyed pink, and be ready to answer some trivia questions in order to raise awareness!

I attended this event last year, and had several of my then-guildies come out for it. It was such a great feeling of community- some players had literally been standing in LA for hours before the event, decked out in pink!
I just posted in my current guild's forums about this year's event and I hope that some will consider attending this year's event.
Thank you again DRGN and Saji, for this event. I've had loved ones touched by this horrible cancer, so it is definately something I support.

What a wonderful idea!
To do this for such a cause shows people we are above the "play games your heartless" image. We gamers do really care to, i know i do.
Listen, if you need any help with funds, running it or just crowd control so to speak, please do not hesitate to contact me, i just LOVE to help out the community through running big events and helping like minded people.
Ill get some dye put aside for you if you like
Best Wishes ~ Frozenwind

Just a little bump to see if we can get more participants as well as some info on donating sweets and alcohol.
