To be honest, I don't care if they're white. As long as I dont already have the miniature, I'm happy as a lark. :P

If people got lots of those pets, they'd be worth nothing. Most people also keep the pets based on how they look rather than how much they sell for.

but they are fun hours not forced to get ahead of someone else and i give never sell (except merch)

I decided early on that my luck was so bad that I'd be better selling the presents unopened, which I did with most of the 1st b'day ones (and from feedback I got - it was good that I did). Once though, I had a feeling about one I was going to sell, so I opened it and was lucky.
Now I just sell unopeneds in pre - the whites I get just get dedicated on a chars HoM and then given to some random newbie I see around so I cant remember exactly what I got myself and what Ive obtained.

All white minis.
No greens, golds or even purples.

All of which were either: Wallows or Sieges.

I haven't gotten anything better than a grape. (Kirin on Warrior, P. Joko on mule monk)

I've been pretty lucky I guess, only had 1st b-day and got:

I think that is it, pretty happy though, I like the Temple Guardian and I got a green and a gold. So meh. Won't get my 3 yr bday present till August though.

well all whites so far and I got my 3rd yr mini's for 2 characters a couple days ago - both white.

A cave spider and a Irukandji (it looks like a wind ryder w/ a very large male organ (if you get my drift))

I have another 3rd yr coming up in 2 months - see if I am graced w/ yet another white.

16 minis (no 3rd year till next week), 15 whites, 1 purple Kirin. When do we get to declare SheNaniGans?

First mini I ever got was a Mini Shiro, after that it's been down hill. (normal account)

Don't do the mini thing, just give them to my wife so she can dedicate in HoM and then sell for a profit, I know she has keep the Asura, Destroyer, Ceteradon, Titan, and a few others. That would explain why she has more gold then me.

i got a freak accident. 3 ruriks on my chars, with others being white. very mysterious D:

All white and not even the ones i like, just have to wait another year for my third ones.

Yup, and then next holiday event you can trade in 60 of them at the special Mini Pet NPC for an uber rare green one.

My second account has had some odd luck with second year minis - out of three slots I got two mini elves.

I'm not complaining, just saying.

Anyways, I just trade off any duplicates for ones I don't already have - and you can find people willing to trade a "higher level" one for multiple lower level ones, especially if they are undedicated.

guess I have been luckier than most ---though the first ones on the list were the first ones I got---the wallows and the devourers....so that was kinda disappointing. but I dont care about rurik, but a bone dragon would have been nice out of 17 tries so far (and my husband has another 4 that he gives me the minis from---so I got another wallow, devourer and titan from him, he liked the turtle he got so he kept that one!)

In my opinion giving those birthday miniatures a "rarity" just like in "trading card games" was one of the worst game design decisions in Guild Wars ever. Because whenever you are not getting a green or gold one (which includes the vast majority of Guild Wars' player base) you think "gnaaa, could have had better luck" and somewhat "ruining" the joy about your character's birthday.

I've gotten no duplicates. I'm happy with that.

As for luck, buying a Mini Koss & Shiro for 6.5k each Undedicated is as lucky as you can get for me. I currently have 29 unique minis. No mini I have bought cost more than 13k undedicated.

I wont get my 3rd year mini on my Ranger till December.
