Mini Bad Luck

I basically want to make myself feel better by seeing who else out there has had worse bad luck with minis than I have.

I got Guild Wars in July of '05, and pretty quickly filled my four character slots. When factions came out, I made another and left my 6th as a pvp slot. Bought another slot when they became availible that summer and made another character. With the release of Nightfall I made one more and left the second slot for pvp, which was good because a few months later I found myself using the same pvp character most of the time and so decided to keep her around.

So what all this means is that I have five two year old characters and three more one year olds. So far, I have gotten the following minis for their birthdays:

two seige turtles
hydra
temple guardian
necrid horseman
*three* jade armors
two wind riders
fire imp
thorn wolf
aatxe

That's 13 white minis in a row. I just about lost it when I got the third jade armor on my 7th character.

Anyone want to share their tales of mini woe with me?

Edit: I certainly don't mean to be whiney about, just wanted to know that there are others that have suffered the same stroke of bad luck as far as rarity is concerned.

Honestly, I'm not unhappy with most of my minis, I love my turtle and temple guardian, my aatxe is awesome, and I just got the thorn wolf for my factions chars 2yr and he looks like he might be cool. I'm just sad that I never got the rare ones, cuz some of the rare ones are *cool.* It would be nice to just get them instead of going out and spending 100k + xxe to get the one you want.

So from reading all the responses (thanks a bunch by the way, I feel a bit better now) :-) the "winner" for worst luck is Jamison0071 for getting the most white minis without getting any colored ones. Shadows of hob deserves mention too for the five fungal wallows.

And if certain people could actually read the whole original post before declaring me greedy, that would be awesome.

I have a couple of 1st bday and 2 2nd bday character minipets. I got a purple shaman (I think) and the rest are worthless whites (devourer and wallow). At least yours look better

16 Birthday Presents (4 2nd year, 12 1st year)...all whites. That included about 4 devourers and 5 wallows. Oh well.

Not to get all Pollyanna about it though, it saves them eating space in my storage while I procrastinate about selling them. I can just drop them on the trash can and forget about them, without feeling like I've missed out on a payday.

They're free, and they're random. So do yourself a favor and stop whining.

hehe you can be the biggest devourer minipet collector by buying all of them for 500g or lesser each

I guess it depends if you want them for their re-sale value or the actual critters, I'd be happy with most of those although the hydra doesn't float my boat. The only mini I've ever sold on was Varesh.

erm my curse is necrid horseman, they have become a herd, but I did get one lich mwahahaha go me.

We should start a minipet exchange event so that everyone can exchange their extras for a different one. (Well, i am 2 years late)

I never got an expensive mini, but that's okay.
I feel quite lucky never getting a Mini twice and I got 7 1st year minis (6 whites, 1 purple), 4 2nd year minis (all white) and 2 3rd year minis (both white).

I got two mini water djins on the same account. I'm happy.
