I've been playing for a while now, and i think its time to pass on a couple little secrets i have learned that are NOT commonly known.

secret 1: start at the spawn point closest to the door, every time.

ok this one is simple. if you are a farmer, FFF, or chestrunner, you know the importance of speed. how nice would it be to start at the spawn point closest to the door, every time? imagine how much time you would save while raptor farming, doing HFFF, or chestrunning?

step 1: start in the town you wish to do multiple runs of whatever from.
step 2: walk out the door, walk back in, and walk out again.
step 3: do whatever it is you are doing in that zone, and resign. (dont map)
step 4: after you resigned, you will start at the spawn point closest to that door EVERY time, until you change towns or visit guild hall. if you do so, you need to start step 1 again. simple enough, yes?

secret 2: powerlevel yourself from lvl 1-10 (or to 15) in record time, survivor friendly

have you ever purchased a powerleveller? bad mistake. it's so easy to do yourself. ok...you have a lvl 1 character. maybe you are going for survivor...maybe you just want to get to lvl 20 in under 2 hours. whatever the case, this is for you.

step 1: ok the easiest way to do this is start in nightfall. create character, do the first little mission, and get to kamadan.
step 2: buy a ferry to consolate docks, and another to LA. will usually cost 500g each or less.
step 3: add 5 henchies, and run yourself to the closest mission town, D'Alessio seaboard. (if you are survivor, just flag them in front and hang back. they will dispatch fire imps easily)
step 4: zone yourself, solo, to an EMPTY district in D'Alessio. polish district does well. run to the gate, where NPC lightning eles are killing some undead ghouls.
step 5: gain exp from the ghouls (the first batch comes all at once, try to make them go near you so you gain exp from them)
step 6: after wave one, find another empty district and repeat. the ghouls are lvl 11, so you will get to lvl 10 very fast (only the first wave will give you exp. after that, you must rezone)

once you are lvl 10, the next fastest way to powerlevel yourself is to go to gunnars hold (a very simple path to solo; getting to EOTN is soo easy...take henchies and make them kill stuff). before doing this you may want to purchase max armor @ consolate docks if you are survivor. Just take the dwarven boxing quest, punch dwarves for lvl 20 using rampage scrolls.

I got level 20, with a secondary, max armor, with survivor lvl 1 title, standing in HoM in 1 hour, 48 minutes. and i didnt really even rush it.

enjoy

I did not know some of the things you were talking about, okay most of the things, because, I never try to do things fast, so they escape me. But its nice to know. so thank you.

The first was a 'secret' - the second one, not so much.

Didn't you know? Everyone on GWG is god's gift to the world and your intellect is but a drop of water upon their glowing, godly locks. You should be drawn and quartered just for daring to bring yourself before these admirable examples of human evolution without immediately prostrating yourself in their glorious presence. My god, didn't you notice the rippling power in their primary wrists from their years of slaving over a hot mouse and reading 4chan boards?

Ignore the losers. I'd wager most players actually don't know about these things. I didn't know about the spawn point trick.

I didn't know the mapping thing, but the rest is pretty well known, actually.

Sorry

I have not timed it to lvl 10, but my choice for rushing a survivor character to eotn is to play NF until you get the quest to get Dunkoro (where you have to kill all the skree in the quarry). Once you have the quest, enter into this quest solo. There are a couple mobs to avoid on the way to Dunk, but once there you get a healer and 4 (I think, has been a while since I've done it) warrior npc's to complete the quest.

The cool thing is they follow you all over the map not just to the quarry and you get xp as if you were soloing. One good tour of the area will net tons of XP for a low level as there are many lvl 6+ mobs and even some lvl 13 rinkals to kill off. Doing the initial quests and clearing this area with blessings should also put you very close to the 300 sunspear pts needed for the second set of 15 attribute points and level 10. The for the LS candidate it's time to head North and box some dwarf heads!

Where're only pulling the OP's leg....

I didn't know either.

Survivor is crap until they change it to actually make you play the game instead of XP farm.

Spawn point - Din't know, but I'll forget about it as soon as I shut GWG down so...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there only two spawn points in Lutgardis, both quite far from the portal, rendering this tactic basically useless for HFFF?

Though it might not be helpful to everyone, its still some interesting findings from the OP. (at least to me)

Won't be using them anytime soon but thanks for sharing with everyone .

QFT...that annoys me greatly about Luts, though it's about a wash as running into the town is faster than the wait/delay of a few people resigning.

I thought everyone knew about the spawn by the door....well, except all the people I laughed at in Rata who'd zone in and pop a sugar to speed up the run through town. In all seriousness, if this post taught you the spawn trick, you need to thank the OP repeatedly...and slap your guildies for not telling you sooner : P

I had never heard of the D'Alessio trick...I guess I was always way above the point where I could earn XP from the ghouls while in town.

Nice info, and ignore the trolls!

I specifically made my own guild so I could be the only person in it... do I have to slap myself? Or should I slap everyone from one of the guilds I was in before?

That depends. Which would be more entertaining for me to watch?
