HoM common prestige armor

anyone ever want to put ur hat or gloves that u spent over 100k on up in the HoM,i know i do, im suggestion not a whole knew tapastry thing but like a rack behind the 5 armor sets so we can display our gloves/hats and maby take them to GW2 if thats wat the HoM is for http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Common_armor

I say no, why? because you need a full set to put things up, and that does not include head armor. Gloves are not a full set, neither are just head armors.

That's exactly the thing he wants to change, so it's not a valid counter-argument.

A: We should make the speed limit on the highway here 60 instead of 30.

His argument isn't that we should be able to put up "full sets" of eotn glove and helmet armor but that there should be a special display for "just" those parts out of a set. I don't own any of those pieces, but I'm inclined to agree. Some of them are very pricey, even beyond the cost of some "full" sets, and I'd want to display mine if I had some.

Maybe a compromise would be to allow you to substitute parts out of a full set with the special gloves or helmet instead - so you could show off your set of elite kurzick assassin armor, but instead of it's own gloves and mask, you have it put in your destroyer gauntlets and mo zing mask...

I want to have my glowy hands floating around in my hall O.O

Keep in mind the HoM's purpose. Putting in all these things means that GW2 will have to give them a purpose, and I don't think that's currently in the design model, which is probably why we don't see them now.

However, if Arenanet could work it in, I have no problem with it.

If this means we need to buy a load of gloves to complete the HoM then /notsigned.

"I collected 250 Charr relics, so I want my 1337 n1nj4 hood in HoM."

The HoM is designed not only to show off your accomplishments, but to give benefits for when GW2 comes out. That's the reason only elite SETS are used. They are evidence you went through enough of the game to earn a prestige item(yeah, I know. some got run to Marhan's Grotto/FoW.) It fits into the story line. Chaos gloves, a pirate's bandana, shades, and a ninja hood(looks like a t-shirt n1nj4) don't fit anywhere in that line.

Agreed with Randvek. A.net hasn't locked themselves into a corner about what the item will do in GW2... so its not like this couldn't be added.
Honestly, the HoM is full of fail anyways. Any little improvement in how stuff is organized/displayed and what can be put in there is good.

If you get a display for your gloves, next thing you know, someone will want one for his pants!

Some people dont seem to be understanding....This is for Chaos gloves/ DestroyerGauntlets/Glacial Gauntlets/ Mo Zing/Bandana etc

FULL SETS of one piece

Its still in the game and has to be earned. If you spent a ton of time getting destroyer cores to earn armor or materials and money, whats the difference. You still logged the game time, you still did the work. Well except for the lamers that bought materials or collector stuff. And is not required to display, its requested.

Only need 8 more destroyer weapons to finish my hall, dont want to have to spend time farming for golwing hands, mask, etc.

I love some of the arguements against this. "I dont want to farm anymore cores etc" what about those who already have?

don't care, it wasn't part of it from the beginning.

This is no different from those that want to be rewarded with a partly filled hall or someone wanting a full reward by only placing one item in each.

We were told what was needed, some of us have went after it, some bitched and moaned and called it stupid, some want to change it to what they want it to be, that is why I don't want to farm for cores, or challices, or ........

A HoM wasnt part of it. I had 15k armor for my sin, it was ugly so I trashed it. for runes and material. If we had HoM I might have saved it for the pretty little statue. But I didnt. Am I bitching and moaning. No. I dont care. But, for the people logging the hours for cores,chalices etc it took a good bit of gameplay to get it. maybe instead of statues with just gloves, have a set of them laying on the ground or for helms just a little head. cause everyone loves a little head.
