My Caravan is Getting Spanked!

I am trying to get to Eastern Frontier and Regent Valley through diessa lowlands In Hard Mode and with a caravan party of 6 from yaks i am getting wiped right there in the middle of diessa. Is there a more efficent route through those blasted charr to get to old ascalon. i have tried going up and around..get spanked byt the charr right before the tar lakes. Tried middle can run past the bridge but get pwned by 2 charr patrols at the bottom of hill..tried going lowland near althea but same prob spank time. Any and all helpful ideas would be most welcome. Party is usually me Touch necro Tri necros and misc. healer/brawler

Old ascalon can be done with a 4 man group out of Ascalon.

so basically a 4 necro group? try replacing one of your necro heroes with a nuker. and then you take the place of one of the easier necro roles, either ss or healer.

I did it out of ascalon with a MM a nuker and a healer monk, I was an UB tank, all heros, it was cake

I vanquished all ascalon with a 4 man group (heroes) even though dragon's gullet was such a pain....

a ss, a woh and something else can't remember....maybe mm

i play foc, and sabway. ive vanqed everywhere but dragons gullet (pain in the arse to get to again) in ascalon, i run as a foc necro and use sabway everything kinda dies real quick

humm all very good ideas... Unfort i an a ranger primary so going ss will kill my energy (even with raidant armor) and here are the 4 man parties i have tried the ares i need are *eastern Frontier and Fort Ranick/valley area.

i kinda figured that caravaning from yaks would give me a better advantage cause when i get to EF the grawls..Total Spankdom

I have even though of doing the epic caravan from ToA but i would have to take henchies cause i am such a lonley player..*Cry* and my guild mate is my sister who cant play for more than an hour. I had a really nice player Dr. D who loaded some of his heros for me and mapped out but i got the ole error "connection was lost" message and it kicked me back to the login screen so that was shot.

But i am really enjoying the aggravation of it all if that make any sense..but i dont want to be 50 and still trying to vanq these 2 little noob areas...i didnt even have this much trouble in hells precipice.

Nother quickie..what lev norn alliance do u have to be for ursan way to be effictive i think i am rank 5 or so enough to craft some cons.

well, you could just use ursan then. i think the main usefulness of ursan is the aoe knockdown.

You can do this even as a Ranger.

Use a flatbow and pull. Thats all I did when I vanquished that area of the map.

Sabs worked fine for me this morning - cleared Regent Valley and Eastern Frontier with the standard necro build and:

I know you said you were playing a ranger, so BHA should work fine with a condition build similar to what I posted.

BHA+Epidemic should solve your "Ranger Problem"
I always found Magebane underpowered in PvE compared to its Godlyness in PvP. just that you need some form of AoE to be successful in PvE and since Rangers are known to be great interrupters than mass Daze seems the best way. I guess Choking Gas+Volley can also work but meh...

Ok this is what happened. Payne helped with some builds and i ran a BHA/Epidimic poison ranger. Tried a couple time with just the 4 peeps but ran into some trouble with pulling and such. My bad i will admit i am still learning*grin* So here is what i did i got my old pre sear tapestry shard and activated the quest "then and now here and there" went to yaks and made Gwen a Me/Mo Hybrid and droped the fire ele hero and picked up stefan and alisa....in less than a hour i was in old ascalon and the rest was a peice of cake to vanq!! You all helped very much and I thank u all *grin*

I've removed a number of posts that were detracting from any help the OP was looking for. The entire argument was getting a little heated, and I though it better to nip it in the bud. If you don't like a build, that's been vetted and widely used by the community, no one will force you to use it, but at the same time you should be willing to admit that there is some merit in something so many have used successfully.
