In my opinion, anyone too braindead to figure out why there are christmas decorations at christmas deserves a permanent ban to save the rest of us from their stupidity. Well, exceptions can be made in, say, asian districts for example where they might not know. But in America? The entire country, practically, gets decorated, how could they NOT figure it out?

I glance at the anouncements to see if its a PvE weekend or PvP, so I know wheather or not I'll find any live people in towns, and what towns they might be in.

As for this event, even on GW.com they really don't give a good description of what will happen. I am assuming Gaile will attend at some point and people will just stand around using up the party items and maybe shout at each other for a bit then a conga line.

I think I'll play Dawn of War: Soulstorm, NWN2:MotB, and maybe reroll a Gw monk.

In short: screw this event.

tons of people have no clue who Gaile is. This event only really matters for a tiny part of the population that reads forums, game updates, etc and likes Gaile.

Most people playing EQ2 didn't know who Grimwell or Blackguard were.
Came as no surprise. The average player doesn't visit the forums or ever bumps into a dev or community relations person.

Back on topic: Yep, I read the thingies. Helps me to plan on what I'll be doing - playing GW or doing something else.

Events need a timer that says xxminutes until 'event NPC's' arrival
I've spent the last hour trying to explain to the people in LA that:
A) The Frog comes every three hours starting at noon PST
B) PST is GMT-7
C) UK is not on GMT but on GMT+1

I thought i'd got through to them that the first arrival is at 7pm GMT, 8pm UK(BST)
Then someone says so first arrival is at 8pm GMT or 7pm BST

Every festival is the same and, while I find it comforting that I can add and subtract while most of the other people there can't, I can't help feeling it puts a drain on events when you have the constant "HOW LONG TILL FROG (or NPC name) COMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Gaile gives more answers then Izz does. Izz is an AFK monkey. lol. I still love him though, but man... that dude is AFK so much.

Personally, Jon Sharp and Andy McLeod are my 2 favorite devs. But, don't hate on Gaile, she was a great CR. She had too much on her plate. This change will be good for ANET and us.

I read the log in announcements to see what the weekend event is or if there's something new happening, if I don't see anything new on the announcement I move on to select my character.

On a side note, I'm amazed at how many people in my guild didn't even know who Gaile Gray was until recently.

I have no clue about this weekend. But I also have no clue why the hell should I care about this weekend. Just another mind-your-own-business weekend. What's the big deal?

Halloween was fun.

I see this as a good money making opp, selling all the party drops to eager buyers. netted me 4k already, wasn't even trying to farm or anything.

It was an odd time for an event...having it at 7pm gmt in the evening, it threw a good few off.

My opinion is people who read here usually read announcements in one way or another, and the people in question don't read much of anything since they usually get replies in town.

Greet them with hostility in towns for not reading and maybe they'll start reading instead of being embarrassed for looking like the lasiasses they are.
