OK i have searched for quite a while but cant find an answer. Im sure ill get flamed by heres my question. Right now i have a monk/dervish using:

1. protective spirit
2. mystic regeneration
3. shield of absorbtion
4. shield of judgement
5. blessed signet
6. mending
7. blessed aura
8. balthazar's spirit

im trying to do the undead runs outside of the gates of kryta. i setup this build before i even realized they nerfed mystic regen back in feb. The above works, but i end up running out of energy too easily. Is there a better way to be doing this? hopefully this isnt too dumb of a question, ive been fiddling with builds for hours and cant figure out one that works well. the above is the best ive come up with so far

you could use essence bond instead of blessed aura and just pay a little more attention to when your enchants are expiring. also when you die see if you're the victim of E denial skills.

also if you're feeling reallycrazy you could take a zealous scythe and once you have them all balled up, c-space. you'll be hitting 3 targets and getting 3 E back with each swing. probably something like droks reaper which has a +20 enchant mod on it. you don't have to put anything in Scythe Mastery since the damage from the scythe wouldn't matter when you 55.

imo take out the signet add essence bond and cast essence when u get to were their attackting u then take off while not in a battle then put back up

thanks for the tips. i wont be able to play till later this evening, but ill give this a try. the other thing i thought of last night was replacing one of the duplicated superior runes with a superior rune of earth magic. i cant remember off the top of my head if you can put a secondary profession rune on your armor. for some reason i dont think you can. but then i could have +4 regen for 3 enchants which would cover all the degen thats occuring. ill play with it tonight and see

This is the skill set I use with my Monk. No energy problems. The only problem is the SoJ/Zealot's combo causes mobs to scatter at times.

Superior Monk Runes on all armor
Radiant Insignia on all armor

Sword w/ +5 energy and 20% enchantment mods
-50 health Grim Cesta

ahh crap it never even crossed my mind to drop smiting prayer from 16 to 11. not sure why i didnt think about that. good call. thanks for the help!

well just tried that out. i still end up with -2 health degen with all the conditions on me. I forgot to mention this is hard mode. Not sure if that matters or not. I can put mending on, which evens out the health degen. giving that a try now

because if you search through the majority of the posts on here, most people are outright assholes when someone asks a "noob" question. case in point?


anyways. I took out zealots fire and shielding hands, added mending and blessed signet and finished the whole run. theres about a 1 second gap from when shield of absorption ends and its regen'd, but that doesn't really make a difference. im almost constantly activating skills, but whatever gets the job done!

Try something along this line:

[skill]protective spirit[/skill][skill]mystic regeneration[/skill][skill]healing breeze[/skill][skill]shield of judgment[/skill][skill]smite condition[/skill][skill]essence bond[/skill][skill]balthazar's spirit[/skill][skill]blessed aura[/skill]

MR + HB is more than enough to cover heavy degen, by not using SoA you will get the full energy bonus for Essence Bond. So no energy probs, unless you spam your skills recklessly. Smite Condition is the optional slot, but it is a very fine skill against undead, spreading - at smiting 15 - 120 damage to all undead in the area(!) every 7 seconds.

I haven't yet tried this myself (farming undead in Kryta bores me), but I'm pretty optimistic it will work. Attributes may still have to be tweaked, but should be something like this:

Smiting 15
Protection 12
Divine 9
Earth 8
Healing 8
Age
Age

The raeson I suggested using ShockWave is that it has lower recharge time and useses less energy instead of Shield of Judgment.

scythe = 2 handed, meaning you are not using the -50 cesta meaning that you have more issues with mitigating damage

Just curious, but to the OP --> do u have a zealous mod on ur weapon? If so, that is where ur losing energy. With 3 -1 ench and a -1 every 3 seconds from ur weapon, u'll consistenly lose ench's due to energy loss. Eventually, you'll wear out just standing in place.

Edit** - oops, just realized he said Health degen, not e-degen ...anyway, Mystic Regen was nerfed to regen only +3 at a 3 ench cap (so +9)...so u can't carry as much degen as you used to with that build (i.e. corsairs with colossal farming)
