Now I don't have much to say about this except... If you don't want us to buy from those companies, don't take away every freaking way to get gold in-game for our selves.
Now, I am not saying that there is no way to make gold in-game for ourselves anymore, but if you look around greens which were in the 15-50k range not even a year ago are now hardly worth 5k, sure there are a few still worth around 20k, but you must agree, hardly any.
Golds, ahh yes, golds... hard to find and still only less than a fourth of them are actually worth anything, and that depends on the mods, req, and skin you get, and like the green issue, an Elemental Sword hardly half a year ago was in the 400k ranges for a req 9, now (you only have to look in the price guide, or in the trade chat for proof) they are worth as much as a Dead Sword before everyone found out how to farm them.
Also, we can't forget the runs... Temple of the Damned is the trend right now, but just like Drok's and Morah runs, just about everyone knows how to run them which means that from the Drok's price of 10k in the beginning to 4-6k in the middle, it has dropped to a miniscule 1-2k, hardly worth the time, right?
So someone is obviously to blame, is it the tragic 12-year old nerd life destroying nerfs? is it the insane idiots that think their cool posting the build on pvxwiki? or is it something else, like the overly-kind runners that reveal their build for all to see?
The main point of this entire article is that there is hardly no way to be profitable enough to look like an original player pimp (I am at 15 sets of 15k and 1 vabbian, and I still don't consider myself one) sure everything has their bottom price and Anet has been lovely people (sarcasm for those who can't tell) and added dungeons, sure, dungeons, that fixes the problem. The profit per hour can't even touch the toes of some of the good farming builds of the past.
Now I did type this article in anger of the article that Anet published on their main page, which I will probably regret, but how can they tell us to not buy gold from these companies if they take away all the methods of good old-style farming that leave us with methods that are monotenus, boring, and not profitable, compared to the fun, exciting, and profitable farming days of old. Farming was something for those people to do when they beat all the campaigns, now days everyone just quits for a few months, and then come back to see whats new, then quit again. I have personally seen dozens of guilds collapse due to the boredom of post-completion.
Anet nerfed mob farming with loot-scaling. Yeah, right. Bot companies are still active arn't they? DUH! THat's because they don't have to deal with the long hours of monotenus farming, the computers do it! Plus they get more buisness due to the people that lose hope and buy gold! If you don't get that, I'll put a real life situation in for you.
D.C. law states you cannot carry a handgun, the only thing that does it screw the good people, good people can't get guns for their protection and leisure, but law-breakers still can (or at least a high percentage can) because they know their way around (black market for you slow people).
Now transfer that into Guild Wars... vuala! you got yourself the same situation, the law-breakers (bots) still farm and get money and buisness (equivalent to robbing in D.C. case) while the good people (good people) can't get an efficiant amount of gold with the profit:time ratio.
All negative opinions will be ignored as this is a rant, and no one really cares what you have to say, neither do they care about what I just wrote, so why did you read it? Reflect on that instead of complain about what I wrote.
