Where can I get some stat upping, NICE looking armor...

Decent stats you can have by adding runes and insignis to your armor but i dont recommend doing this till you get max armor or have lots of gold.
Running your first toon somewhere would be the complete opposite of helping you. Follow the story line, you'll lvl up, get new skills, and some gold from the foes you kill.
GW is not about getting to the end boss as fast as possible, its about skills and knowing how to use them.

aye, maybe you do find them boring but since you don't know that there are no "stat-upping" armours (all armours have the same inherent base modifiers except for armour level or rating) I would suggest that you are, just maybe, not quite ready for the southern shiverpeaks and the joys of the Mursaat or equivalent for whichever campaign you are playing.

Hmmm.....I would suggest that maybe you go on over to gw.gamewikis.org and have a look around and then start a PvP character....cuz from your reply there, you're obviously not interested in anything that is happening to your character and only care about the hacking and slashing.
Level 9? Upping your stats? You don't HAVE any stats! Sorry...I just mean that you have only just begun your character and it seems like you want to be max level already...have you even been to Piken Square yet? Grendich Courthouse? When you get to LA....then you should start looking for better armor...which as it happens... is available there.
EDIT: Why did you hit the Role Playing creation button if all you're interested in is "end game" stuff? Or do you mean End of Story-Game as in....get through the whole story? Well...good luck with that and don't expect it to happen in one night or have any understanding about how to play your character. Oh yeah....don't expect to get any groups in the few areas where you need to PUG because no one will want to team with someone who doesn't know their profession.

dont worry about it, go at your own pace.. take it slow, dont ask for advice on "whats best, what should i use, etc.."
games are always MUCH more fun when you dont have a clue how to play them!

you have plenty of time to do that. why do people watch the scenes in movies where people just "talk about stuff" instead of skipping to the action? it ruins the plot!!
