Design-a-Weapon Items: The Hunt is On!
5 March 2008

We are pleased to announce that we will add a few of the winning items from the most recent Design-a-Weapon Contest into the game later this week. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to venture forth and find those items. We'll add another group of items in the future, so keep your eye on this page for more information in the coming weeks.


The designs have already been mentioned. This announcement just hit their frontpage and rss feed.

Maybe the could vamp up the old prophecies bosses and let them have a green weapon drop ---nah.

oh well, will be reading the forums to see where they drop (since these kind of things never happen for me first).

they need to put them into the end chests in The Deep or Urgoz. They need a much needed revival.

I love going into the Deep and Urgoz (moreso Deep...even though I'm Kurzick lol) and would love to see different weapons drop than the ones we've been getting.

I'm looking forward to that dragon shield thingy-and maybe the dragon looking spear one.

I would really hope that they drop from enemies, and make them rare, but not so -rare-that-no-one-can-afford-them types.

Did they include the actual names of the weapons anywhere? O.o

Well i doubt this stuff will drop inherant () so nf/eotn if its a chest drop in an explorable i think.

I hope you're not talking about the Glacial Blade, which is already ingame...by way of the GWEN Preorder, so you can't get it anymore....

Anyway, I would prefer if these weapons weren't green.....that just kind of ruins it, you know?
From the sound of it, they could be anywhere....I'm going to guess what/where will drop what.

Dragon Shield - Tough one...bone dragons? Or somewhere crystal desert?
Eagle Axe - Norn area, most likely
Celestial Compass - If they keep the name like that, then Nahpui Quarter, I think
Demon Shield - Realm of Torment. It has to be. Hopefully they won't put it in DoA....
Sun-like Spear - Not sure...Istan?
Green Sword - Looks Stone-Summitish to me. Maybe SF or Slavers or other dungeons with Stone Summit.

Are the new items Green items or are the gold? Also i'm happy a few of them are comming into the game, but they should give us alittle more information.

ugh... If my chances of getting my off-hand design are a low as they were getting a re9 gold version of my hammer design this is gonna be very frustrating..

Only care for the celestial compass, that jade looking sword, and that bow. Then again, this will be a great chance to make some cash if I get lucky.
