I'm going to assume that the Eye of the North background will forever be the background so long as Guild Wars shall live... if no new campaigns are going to come out for GW1, that is. With GW2 coming out whenever it does, there wont be any new campaigns for GW1, so is it to say I'll be stuck looking at the same background of EotN for a login screen forever?

Is this really the case?

As far as we know - Yes.
They may change it when GW2 is close to release to act as a form of advertising for the new game.

Most likely, which sucks. I wish we could change it back to the Factions one. I was able to get that screen along with the original title music, it was incredibly fitting since the Factions screen doesn't look very "Canthan-ish."

Does it really matter? Your in the login screen for couple seconds...does it affect your gameplay?

Neither does how your character looks, yet people still wanna change it.

Anyway, i really hope they can modify the factions login screen or prophecies one to make it so we can have it.

it would indeed be nice to change the login screens.. every time i log in it reminds me of how crappy the winters are where i live =(

I really wish they'd fix up the old backgrounds and release an option to pick whichever we want.

They could always rotate it every 4 months of the year from Proph. to EoTN.You will get Proph.Fact.NF and EoTN.

QFT. I can't stand the stupid login screen threads.
What grinds my gears the most is that the people complaining always want the previous version. Ie, when Factions came out, its login blew and people wanted Phrophecies again. When NF came out, its login screen blew and people wanted Factions again, etc. Make up your minds people.

But I liked the whale in the ocean on the Factions one......... and tbh eotn truly blows harder than all other loading screens.

you can play a character for hours at a time. That is why people ask for this change.

Who cares about the login screen.

There are so many actual bugs, and problems with this game and people want them to spend time on a login screen

It just makes me laugh some times.

While there is an option to hide the UI at the bottom of the screen, then yes it will matter
