anyone else getting unplayable ping since last update?

Im getting 10k -70k average ping since the last update, what is this? I was going to farm points for the weekend..and now this, jesus.

thats pretty bad, ouch. im not getting lag THAT bad but im finding that at random times i stop moving, almost like im lagging out but i dont actually. Same goes for a bunch of friends and guildmates

I'm getting my normal (based on 2 days of play, anyways range of between 100 & 300ms. Such pings make UT2004 unplayable for me, but are seeming to be quite reasonable for GW...

im lagging more now i have 66,343 average ping which unplayable for me i was going to do AB then i couldnt even move not even a little so i stood there basically frozen while the overpowered derv pwned the crap out of me.
im sorry to say this but gw is an officially lagged out game, more lagged out than runescape.

i'm not getting problems, and i'm on a slow computer.
Last time i had that, i just ended some apps to free up cpu usage space

Day 2 of the same problem. I hate rubberbanding in town, and taking 45+ secs for my chats to appear after hitting enter.

Please don't tell me to shut this off, and that off, defrag drive, etc etc. Been there done that, ran 3 different scans, pulling out hair thinking my computer is acting up. Can't find anything on my end and with the sudden appearance, makes me suspisious as to source.

I cant even chat, I just stand there with people rubberbanding all over the place, and after a while I just get an err7, already defragged and downloaded the client again. I can browse and play other games fine, so this isnt a problem of ISP.


Anet? anyone?

I've had a ping of 381,000. I didn't even know that was possible. This game has become unplayable to me now.

I've closed down every application I can, defragged the .dat file, blew all the dust out of my computer even brushed my hair to the other side. Nothing helps.

This sucks.

My ping was hitting 50k tops. However, I seem to d/c a lot these days. Not my connection, as my connection never drops...

Anet...wtb new servers? PM me. Can supply some nice ones just in from Asia.

rubberbanding while fighting is worse.. there goes my survivor title on my new paragon

Anet servers are the worst pile of [blank] I've ever had the misfortune to play on. How you can have a "competitive" game with pings like these is beyond me.
And it's not only apparent with "bonus" weekends either.

Over a couple of years I've read various threads on this subject and bit my tongue and hoped the problem would be fixed, but no.
Its always some third partys problem with the Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v answers.

1. Defrag your hard drive :/
2. Its a network failure between you and anet.
3. check your firewall antivirus software.

ect.

The ping indicator is always orange Consistantly for me in the U.K


Just like a lot of other problems it gets neglected and the pattern just repeats over and over.

this is irratating, I already gave up for this weekend but I dont know what I wil do if the problem persists after it. I cant even send a question to support, their site doesnt seem to be working. Im pissed.

yes pings are bad this weekend....think that anet has given up on gw servers, 'why bother????'

last night I had a bunch of 11k pings and a 20k one , and then the next one disconnected me...

played later on another character and I spent most of it just watching since when I would catch up the minions and h/h had everything under control. My average pings were in the 5-7k range....this is just as bad as when factions went live!

today has been better, no reallly badd lagg spikes, just lots and lots of 2-5k ones....more watching as my h/h do stuff....wouldnt even think of joining a group with that kind of stuff going on.
(and my survivor is on vacation---)

I cannot play because of this horrible lag every 3 seconds, it's pissing me off. Anet, RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO get new servers

its been like that awhile. it sucks but when you can pull a vanquish off with those pings its quite an accomplishment lol.

though surprising for me this weekends been rather nice average pings of only 300ms.

I dont have outside much i just lag intown and when loading to go to outside

lol I usually get an answer to my pm before I have sent it now that is annoying

And they cant blame my pc because it has hardly anything on it as I had to Whipe it

I'm still getting my normal 100-300ms range, though I *did* have a single 800ms or so spike yesterday morning...

dc'd twice last night and the lagg getting into towns was horrible (like over a minute to load thngs that are usually only a few seconds at most).
I dont think things are going to get better--only worse with our trusty anet team devoting all their time to the new and improved gw2! I think our gw servers are just going to decline more and more---maybe anets way of getting us all to move over to gw2?

For the last week and a half, I to have been having near unplayable pings, with constant rubberbands and stopping completly. I was thinking maybe it was an ISP problem, but since I can browse the web and stuff pretty normally, i'm not so sure. It's really annoying because normally I would GvG or HA were reasonable pings are a must, and lately I haven't been able to do any of this stuff...

My pings are nearly always red and above 1,000....

Well, I have normal ping, no lag, even with people in the house downloading torrents and things.

West Coast America here. 16MS with 32 average as I type this.
