Eye of the North - $9.99 at certain Target Stores!

Apparently, several people have purchased EotN at certain Target stores in the United States, and although the price on the box says $39.99, it's ringing up as only $9.99....

States where this has been confirmed thus far include Iowa, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, Ohio, Nevada, Maryland, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Colorado, New York, Indiana, Washington, Florida, California, Virginia, West Viriginia and South Carolina.

Sounds like a prime time to get the expansion for anyone who's been holding out...

I haven't checked mine recently (I live in florida), but if this is true, then at last Anet has decided to sell gwen for its true value.

I'm sorry but why is this so surprising? Prices go down all the time, and you know that. If you think it's unfair you bought from the online store you got the BMP didn't you? Prices always go down after awhile, if you find reason to complain you simply didn't use common sense.

Thanks for posting this. I went to Target (San Francisco -Daly City) and bought two copies - one for myself and another as a gift. $9.99 each. I wanted a third for another gift but they were out. When I asked an employee if they had more copies in the back he checked and said they were out, and so offered to give me a raincheck. But the raincheck wouldn't go though and he said that's because it's a price cut and will always be this price. I don't know if that's true but maybe Anet wants to sell it in the future as a package with Prophecies.

So if you're going to buy EOTN buy it at Target, but maybe check to see if they have in stock.

Retailers pricing is not something that either ArenaNet or NCsoft has oversight on -- we don't set pricing for any store or etailer. Instead, I think this price is either a choice or an error on the part of that particular retailer.

I will ask to be sure.

That 30 extra bucks I spent on GW:EN could have bought me a fat quarter ounce.

It's obviously a price mistake. Get it before they update their system. Probably will go back up to $40 on Sunday.

After buying GW:NF, Factions , a NF preview, NF BMP and a char slot (in the past month) I promised myself I wouldn't buy it unitl it dropped to $20

This is good for ArenaNet and very bad for Target. Good for Anet cuz Target will order more copies to restock at normal price while Target suffers income loss.
