Black Dye Drops

I've gotten 4 in almost 3 years. I remember 1 in ToPK. Not sure where the others dropped, but none were in Pre-Sear.

Last dozen of black dyes dropped for me from a raptors in cave and destroyers in glint challenge

I have gotten a couple blakcs in a single run before. I was soloing an Ascalon mission with my lvl 20 ranger and a charr dropped one and a charr boss dropped another. Most of my black dyes have been from Charr(as their blood is supposed to be black, this makes a lil sense.)

Ice imp 2 years ago, and this year i got lucky with black dyes.
Got some from Destroyers and Stone Summit Dwarves.

Never got one in a drop -- color me sad

One thing that I have been fairly lucky with is black dyes. Been playing since a week after release and have had about 2 dozen black dyes drop, from assorted mobs.

I've got over a dozen black dyes. They can drop from anything, anywhere.

Black dye has been good to me, I've had at least 2 dozen drop and have used/sold most all of them.

I would say every monster in the game has a chance to drop any dye, there are none that have a higher chance of droping a certain colour.

I've only had around three, my entire time playing the game. (31 months)
Couldn't tell you what dropped them though.

I've gotten several black dye drops over the years. I'm pretty sure all of the were in very low level areas, two in pre searing.

Lets see... the last 4 I remember were: A Charr in Pre-Searing, A Madrangor Sliter in Jahai Bluffs, a Crypt Wraith in the Cathedral of Flames, and a Snow Wurm just north of Boreal Station. That's right, a Snow Wurm. The guys who don't even attack you unless you're about 2cm away from them. :-)

Ive had 3 drops ever lol, and im coming up on my third bday lol

I just got one drop a mergoyal a few days ago. Earth ele another time, and i forget all other times they've dropped for me. I've obtained 4 or 5 total from drops. ;-)

The only black dye I've ever gotten was from a skale in pre-searing right outside of Ascalon...

Have all three chapters + EotN and have played since Prophecies was released! To this date I have had 1 Black Dye and not a single Ecto drop!

It's a Dye, that meanst that can drop from any mosnter that drops something.

Even from the Lich or the doppelganger.

17 blacks in 32 months. Yes, I still keep all of them.

I really don't think it is luck as much as it is the number of kills. Everything can drop a black dye so the more you kill the more likely you are to get a black dye.

I get lots of black dye from destroyers while playing Glint's challenge.
