Anet recently made some polls on guru and asked what people would buy for guildwars (mugs, t-shirts, mice, etc...).
Lets say there are no more expansions to guildwars...
But anet decides to make a 'skill' expansion. It would probaly be something like 250 skills that you get when you buy the pack. They would all be new skills, and they made it something like "15 skills per profession, 10 elites per profession" and they sold this pack for lets say... $10 USD.
The question isn't if they would ever make one... but if they DID, would you buy it?
I think the idea would be great... mainly for anet who would reap in cash for not having to do much. It would also be cool if they added some of the skills in the sugesstions forum and such. Or, they could have a contest and the top 10 skills made by GW players recieve a prize (minipet or something)

you would buy it and just have all skills unlocked? that would make it way too easy to start new chat with 10 elite skills availible + so many other skills
if elites wouldnt be unlocked you would have to cap it... which would require new boss... and bosses are accessible for all players... it would just mess everything up^^

Because the OP date isn't exactly what I would call recent. 4-06-2007
No, GW1 has enough skills, too many in fact. Everyone complains that Izzy is bad at balancing, but you have to remember that if he changes one skill, that skill might then synergize with 20 others through some freakish combo, and become IMBA. Izzy does a great job if you really think about it, with all the skills he has to think about. Some nerfs might be a bit harsh here and there, but in the end, who cares? The buffs mix things up.
We don't need more skills, we need less.
We don't need more skills, we need less.
What we really need is to toss all the skills out of the window and start from scratch. I mean what good is more skills or less if the skills are still fundementally messed up as a group. If they did delete some skills a ton of them would have to get tossed out and then you'd have everyone complaining about lost money and skill points.
And we need Anet to give Izzy some help.
